Great lil gadget
By DgCa on Jan 19, 2021
I have been having this for several years now and don't regret getting it for a minute. My Maltese has no problem with noise or vibration. I do have to go from nail to nail gradually due to it getting down closer to the nerve vain.. I believe she can feel the heat from the friction as you get closer to that nerve. My only complaint is that the battery doesn't last very long. I can do all her paws but only last for one trimming., It takes me longer to trim with the dremel but I know it is safer so that outweighs the time. I just recharge it after every use. I also use this it smooth out my calluses on my feet, works great but if leave it too long on one spot it certainly gets HOT. Works well, but too soon to tell for sure
By Emi84 on Jan 15, 2021
We've used on our 10 year old Lab who hates nail trimmings, and a newbie 9 month old adoptee. They both seem to tolerate it much better than clippers and for that I'm grateful. Nail trimmings for the Lab were always very difficult. The newbie barked at the dremel a bit the first few times we turned it on and we needed 2 adults to do the trimming, but it worked out. My only concern is that the rechargeable battery will not last long, only time will tell.

didnt work for us
By ohlittlekye on Dec 15, 2020 Top 250 Contributor
I have a mini aussie with a lot of anxiety. He hates the nail clippers (I cut his quicks a few times because he moves) so nail trimmings are always a hassle. I thought maybe to try a nail grinder and that would be better. NOPE! I’ve been trying since JUNE to desensitize him to the sound and it being put on his nails. He absolutely hates it and will run and hide in a corner, then won’t come out for awhile. I’ve been unsuccessful to fix this even with treats, so this was practically a waste of money now.

I want to love it.
By SandMan on Jan 3, 2021
I had some issue with the switch, but has been resolved. the size and wieght of the tool is nice. The grip is nice, and has a easy to charge battery. the noise is moderate. I started the couple nails at ba time and gave treats. Working my way up and getting easier (1 week). I clipped before, but I can keep up with a weekly, biweekly grind. My German Short Hair has accepted the grind.

Too noisy for skittish dogs!
By almama on Dec 17, 2020
I desperately wanted to love this as my dog has black nails and I'm terrified of cutting the quick with regular clippers! However, after multiple attempts at gently introducing the dremel to my dog, it's just not working. It's a lot noisier than you'd expect (even on the low setting) and my rescue pup is afraid of loud sounds. There is no amount of treats that will help him feel comfortable with it, and that's saying a lot because he's quite food-motivated! Too late to return so I'll be gifting it someone.

It was “OK”
By Mogie31 on Dec 12, 2020
I had wanted to buy something quick, easy, and simple to file my dogs dark nails down and because he’s such a baby with actual nail trimmers I figured this product would be a 10/10 from reviews. He was terrified of the noise this machine made which is quite loud, couldn’t even touch his toes with it. I think I was better off purchasing a nail file than a dremel, hopefully one day he will get used to this otherwise it sits in the cabinet until then. I honestly feel this tool is more recommended for dogs used to nail trimming, groomers, etc.

The reviews were true!
By FurMomof3 on Jan 5, 2021
I would highly recommend this product. It works great on my 65lb mutt. It took a few tries to get him use to the vibration, but after that its been great. I normally do two paws one day and then the back paws the next day. The tool was easy to use and figure out. The charge has held for a quite a while. My Husband was impressed that it was Dremel :)

This item is not as described
By Rowan on Dec 31, 2020
Purchased grinder for my 120 pound dog that hates his nails clipped as much as I hate doing it. The groomer uses a grinder and he seems ok with that. After reading description and reviews about how quiet this one is I purchased it.Its louder than an electric razor. Dog bolted when it was turned on,waste of money.

Should've bought this sooner!
By TiffW on Jan 14, 2021
I really wish I'd thought to buy this sooner -- its so much easier than one with a cord, and it really seems to be quieter and the two settings really helps as well. I've used it several times on a very small dog, and one very large dog and it does great with both hardnesses of their nails.

Not worth the money
By liasmom on Dec 7, 2020
I have tried lots of clippers and they work great. The problem being I have to wrestle my dog in order to cut her nails. This tool is quiet and is tolerated by my dog however it takes FOREVER to grind down the nails...and her nails aren't that long. The Dremel can overheat and burn the quick so you have to keep it moving. Additionally it is the same tool that can be used for handyman chores. Wish I wouldn't have spent the money.
