terrified the dog
By tempestandbuster on Mar 28, 2021
This is hard to rate because I’m confident it would work well for most people but our experience wasn’t great. Our extremely anxious one year old German Shepherd is terrified of getting her nails trimmed. She is on edge the second the motor starts and fights to get away while shaking with fear and crying. It’s awful for everyone. Our four month old puppy does a bit better. He picks up on her fear so he’s nervous but he allows us to use the grinder for a minute. We aren’t pushing him. The second he tries to pull away we praise him for how good he was. Hopefully in time he’ll adjust and let us do a thorough job. Our girl, however... Well, we will try again after we get her on Prozac.

Happy Girl!
By Lula on Apr 1, 2021
My Lula has been terrified of nail clippers since the day I got her at 12 weeks old. It was a horrible trama every time her nails were clipped. We tried the Vet, a groomer and doing it our selves. Nothing helped, we had to wrap her up completely and one had to hold her while a second worked on clipping her nails. Her Vet sent home various meds to try and relieve her anxiety. Didn’t help. I bought this dremel and in two weeks, she sits on my lap and with no help from anyone else, her nails are done!

Not enough RPMs
By Anniemal on Mar 16, 2021
I have a now 3 year old rescued German Shepherd with very large, hard, black, nails. She is one of those that hates her feet touched no matter how much I have worked with her on this issue. I need to use natural supplements to calm her before a nail trim and even then it is quite a chore for her and me. I only do either the front or the back every two weeks. In spite of walks every day on concrete to the trails in the woods her nails grow fast. Until I researched other dremel type tools for nail trimming I had been using my corded professional dremel that is quite noisy. I read that the cordless 7300-PT was quiet and also had good reviews even for large dogs. I used it twice on my Shepherd and found that it just didn't have enough RPMs to do the job quickly on such hard nails and also caused a lot more vibration and discomfort. I went back to the corded more powerful dremel I had always used before. It may be more noisy but sands her nails quickly without much vibration. Gets the job done is a lot less time. I think the 7300-PT would work great for dogs who don't have an issue with nail trimming. … more

Worth it’s weight x10!
By Annie on Apr 19, 2021
We have a chiweenie with dragon lady nails no matter how hard we try to keep up with them. Now that I have this Dremel at home, I scoop her up every 10 days or so and give her a trim and we’re finally able to keep up with them! She gets wiggly but doesn’t react otherwise and we couldn’t be happier!

No more blood!
By bingolittle on Apr 11, 2021
This dremel is SUCH an improvement over clippers. No more bleeding all over, no more styptic powder. My pug still squirms when I grind his nails but it is so much more manageable. You can still grind too far and nick the quick but it's easier to avoid and much less blood than with clippers. I highly recommend this product.

A chimp could do it
By Theo on Mar 14, 2021
I couldn’t get to the groomers because of Covid, but thought if teenagers at pet supply stores can learn to do nails, How hard can it be? Got good clippers & this grinder, watched a couple Youtube videos and voila - nice smooth nails. The trick is to go slow and just clip a sliver off each week. The grinder is small, quiet and not scary to me or my dog. Why didn’t I try this before?!

Its useless with the bands it arrived with
By Summmer001 on Apr 8, 2021
I based this purchase on all the other positive reviews. They must have received other bands. The bands in this package do not wear the nail down at all. I’ve spent many hours over a couple weeks now. This tool is completely a waste of money and time.

Start as a puppy
By Dani on Apr 1, 2021
I got this dremmel after reading the reviews. I knew the noise could be an issue but my boy was petrified. Maybe if you start using something like this as a puppy, it’s not so bad but if I could send it back I would because I’ll never use it again.

Nail grinder
By Candis on Mar 13, 2021
This works great. I love that it's rechargable so I don't have to constantly buy batteries for it. My hair did get twisted up into it and I couldn't turn it off. I cried like a baby as my boyfriend giggled and tried to help free me while my dog looked at me like "I TOLD YOU THIS THING WAS BAD NEWS!" That was user error though.. Definitely pull your hair back if you have long hair..

Superproduct
By mickeysmom on Mar 28, 2021
Great product. I love it ,so does my dog. I could not clip her nails, she made it impossible. We were both stressed. Now I will not say she loves it but she lets me do the job. It is powerful but quiet.
