I have a whelping box without a floor. I opted to use rubber mats as a base. These mats were recommended as a floor and gripped wonderfully to the mats for a soft immovable floor. Really important as my Pit Bull mom enjoys digging up bedding, but was unsuccessful at moving this mat around.

Not good for newborns

Newborn pups nails get caught in the fibers like Velcro. Multiple pups ripped off their own dewclaws trying to walk.

Used for my bunny.

I got this for my bunny’s play pen, it cuts easily and the rubber on the bottom keeps it from sliding around at all. This isn’t really the fault of the product but

I got this for my bunny’s play pen, it cuts easily and the rubber on the bottom keeps it from sliding around at all. This isn’t really the fault of the product but if anything wet gets underneath the mat it stays wet until you clean it up so I would keep that in mind when choosing the size to leave yourself enough room. It’s also not easy to wash.

I have a largish area at the front door that we were using disposable pads to cover. This looks much nicer and will last much longer. It also provides a bit of

I have a largish area at the front door that we were using disposable pads to cover. This looks much nicer and will last much longer. It also provides a bit of insulation since the area gets drafty. It was actually a fun challenge to cut it to size. Because it is thin it is easy to cut and easy to cut it around obstacles. I also found that I could take a sticker strip of Velcro to help it stay in place. I covered the sticker side witha scrap of the fabric and then put the Velcro half in the carpet after and half on the mat. It looks pretty seamless.
