Because I am involved in rescue, I have four parakeets that I was able to test this toy on. Fickle creatures that they are, the first three ignored it, but when I put my newest rescue in the group cage, he went straight for it and hasn't left it alone since. It is durable, the colors are attractive to the birds, and most importantly it is safe for them. That makes it a winner in my book. Anything new in the cage will be held suspect until they become comfortable with it. I will definately buy replacements when this one is gone.

Mine prefers interactive things that allow him to forage like paper tube with hay in it or his grass forage mat. This item just hangs and he is likely not sure what to do with it.
