This supplement can be sprinkled directly onto their wet or dry food. We recommend starting with a small amount of food to ensure the full dosage is consumed. For further assistance, we encourage consulting with your veterinarian.

How long to take effect?

According to Earth Animal, we recommend starting to give the powder slowly. Once on the full dose, it can take anywhere from 1 to 3 months to really get into the animal's system to help repel the fleas and ticks. This all depends on how healthy the animal's immune system is to begin with. But the longer the powder is given, the better it works, so we recommend giving it all year round.

Does this powder affect the taste of their food?

It is possible for this supplement can change the taste of the food slightly. This is why we recommend to start out with a small amount, mix well in the food and only increase the amount a little more every 3 to 4 days. This will allow them to get use to the taste. It also allows the body to get use the nutritional benefits and not overwhelm their system to quickly and cause soft stool.

Reduction, not prevention

I did the full treatment, my cat and home were free of fleas before I started this treatment. Yet the fleas came back in 2 weeks. They didn’t increase in number

I did the full treatment, my cat and home were free of fleas before I started this treatment. Yet the fleas came back in 2 weeks. They didn’t increase in number as quickly as before, but it didn’t prevent as stated. Also, both my cats hated taking it. Not orally, not in broth, not on dry food, not on wet food. Not the full dosage, it had to be spread in smaller doses throughout the day. If your cat doesn’t complain about the taste/smell of this product, you are lucky.

I bought this for a feral cat I fed. I named her MyGirl. MyGirl had been around for years and never let me touch her so when I noticed she was losing all her hair and her skin was super irritated, I freaked out a little. I asked an AI bot (Perplexity I think) and it recommended this. It totally worked!! MyGirl’s hair grew back and her skin stopped looking fire truck red. So grateful for this product! Unfortunately, MyGirl passed away a few weeks back. I am not sure what happened. I found her just outside the fence, like she was trying to make it home but didn’t quite make it. Rest in Peace MyGirl. You are deeply missed and will always be loved.

Natural helps when you need it

I care for a neighborhood stray cat who gave birth to a litter of kittens under a neighbor's deck. Kittens have homes and mom has been spayed. Since Lucy is "feral,"

I care for a neighborhood stray cat who gave birth to a litter of kittens under a neighbor's deck. Kittens have homes and mom has been spayed. Since Lucy is "feral," I'm not able to give her regualr flea and tick care. We noticed her scratching quite a bit a few months back so I researched alternatives to get rid of the fleas. I came across Brewer's Yeast as a natural deterrant, as fleas don't care for it and hop off. We started putting a scoop of Earth Animal Powder in Lucy's food bowl every day, and her scratching has lessened considerably. She doesn't mind the taste at all, and a container lasts a long time. I recommend it as a substitute for chemical flea and tick, but still give her a worming medication in her food once a month.

I'm glad Chewy started carrying this. I try to find natural remedies for all my animals and this seems to be a good product. I give it to my two cats and sprinkle it on their canned and dry food mix in the evening with added water and they eat it right up. I'm not noticing any itching even though they spend a lot of time outside on our little farm.

I have 4 Maremma livestock guardians and have used the Earth Animal products with great success. Unfortunately switched over to this internal powder and all my dogs had rather violent reactions and went off their food. I was worried and immediately began to eliminate supplements but unfortunately this seems to be what is bothering them as they have not only had diarrhea but rust colored vomit, that is what this product looks like when mixed into their wet food. Not sure if this is a bad run of this because it affected all of my dogs!

My daughter had been using it and has 4 dogs an4 cats. She lives on 3.5 wooded acres and creek land and her pets have not one flea, tick or anything else since she started it 3 years ago. Lance is very flea sensitive a it takes just one and he was covered last year and a mess. My daughter gave me some and he was cured. Bought some from you also and have not seen ANY insects on Lance. Not one flea!!!! I am raving about this product and will continue to use it all year. Thank you!!!!
