Important Information

Fleas rise to the top of your pet's coat as they die, so consider it a triumph if you start seeing more fleas at first, after treating your pet. If you’re still seeing fleas after application, it may be because your pet has picked up new fleas from the environment, which may include other pets, surfaces and outdoor areas. It may take up to 30 days to break the entire flea life cycle. Additionally, you should also treat sources of new fleas (i.e., carpet, yard, etc.) to ensure complete flea control.

how well will this work when the home carpet, etc., and the dog is already infested?
Answer by ChewyJul 01, 2017
Flea Away will begin repelling fleas, ticks, and mosquitoes after 30 days of administering the product daily. It will not kill fleas, ticks, or mosquitoes that are already on your pet or in the home.

this product has garlic which is toxic to cats. How can a cat take this safely?
Answer by ChewyAug 28, 2019
Many people believe that garlic is harmful to dogs and cats, and in large, concentrated doses this can be true. However, in the proportions that are used, it is highly beneficial to heart health, acts as a natural flea repellant, antioxidant, and anti-bacterial ingredient.

Can you tell me how much dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate in included in the ingredients? I just need to know if it will risk an over-dose with his diet that already includes some of this particular supplement. Thanks!
Answer by ChewyAug 28, 2018
The amount of dl-alpha-tocopheryl acetate is proprietary. We recommend consulting a veterinary professional before combining supplements.

can this be used along with a topical med
Answer by ChewyJun 22, 2019
These tablets are an all-natural flea repellent so they can be used in conjunction with common Flea & Tick Preventative programs.

Good at first

We have five cats. We’ve had a lot of trouble with fleas even though our cats don’t go outside. We’ve been trying a lot of things to get rid of them, and I thought this oral remedy might help. First, it takes a long time for these to start working. The bottle says 20 days. Three of our cats ate them up like treats, at first. Two of them wanted nothing to do with them, so I ground them up and mixed them in their canned food. Also fine at first. We are two weeks in, and now two of the cats will still eat them like treats, but they are not as excited about them. The other three won’t eat the food if I mix it in. I’m not ordering this product again. It was a good try, but won’t work if they won’t all eat it.

Colorado Transplant

We moved to Arkansas about 2 years ago from Colrado. Colorado doesn't have much of a flea problem and we never had any issues with our dog while we lived there. Arkansas on the other hand proved to be a HUGE issue and we started having problems within the first month with fleas and ticks even tho we used the topicals and tried the collars. Came across these when ordering their food and have never regretted it. After the first month or so on these pills, not a single flea or tick. Ours is an Australian Sheperd.

Pay No Attention To The Recent 1 Star Review

I'm responding to the 1 Star Review commenting that the tablet was too large. This tablet is BREAKABLE and CHEWABLE. I can easily break the tablet into 3 smaller pieces and I mix it in with the wet cat food. It's soft and chewable. None of my cats know the difference. The main ingredient is Brewers Yeast which repels fleas once it is in the pet's system. Works like a charm! Especially on my Maine Coon and the feral cat I have been feeding for 3 years now. No more scratching or flea infestation with Flea Away. Try to give it around the same time each day so it stays at a consistent level. For $20, it's not a medication that you need a prescription for or could be harmful to your pet or household. It really works!

This works great !

I bought these tablets for my dogs, thinking I might as well give it a try. My dogs LOVE the taste and est them right down ! After taking the pills for two weeks, they have ZERO fleas on them. They also take Bravecto, but the fleas have been so bad this year that we needed extra help ! Definitely a fan of this product !

Not made for cats

Well, contrary to how this product was advertised, I know of no way to give it to my cats. These are hardly chewable for cats. They are the size of a huge vitamin supplement for a human. A dog, yes. But there is no way my cats will eat one of these.

It seems like all the bad reviews left are because people aren't reading what these are for. They do not kill active infestations. They are GREAT, however, at preventing them! My dogs love to run through the woods and chase all sorts of critters and these work so well at discouraging any bugs from getting them. I even stopped them for a while, and they started getting more ticks. Now my dogs are back to eating these vitamins and being tick free. It does take a few weeks to start being effective, but we went from picking off handfuls of ticks to no ticks!

worst choice for fleas and vitamiins

I do not recommend this product. It is horribly large to try and get a cat to swallow and not only that it, does not even dissolve in water within 12 hours which is the time the poor animal would need to digest it! I have been forcing my poor cat, a Maine coon to ingest the dissolved vitamin in his tuna or cat food and he refuses to eat it also! After two weeks I have seen absolutely no improvement in neither the fleas or his fur coat! Are you able to refund me?

Flea Away Review

I’ve been giving my dog the pills every day and still waiting to see improvement, but the label indicates that it takes 30 days to start really working so I’m using other topical products to get the flea problem under control. I’m truly surprised that she chews the large pills and likes them! So glad for that. Even after the fleas are gone I plan to continue giving them to her each day as a preventative.
