Which almond oil do you use in this product sweet almond oil or bitter almond oil?

I thought you weren't supposed to put peppermint oil on cats?

These products have been formulated by Veterinarians with safe levels of essential oil use. It is recommended to test and check the application areas on the animal for up to 24 hours to make sure everything is fine. These products have been sold nationwide for the last 4 to 5 years and we have had a minuscule percentage of adverse reactions.

Toxic to Cats

I was looking for an ALL natural flea product for my cats (3) . I bought this 2x and this 2nd time using it did not work at all. Instead my cats seemed to scratch

I was looking for an ALL natural flea product for my cats (3) . I bought this 2x and this 2nd time using it did not work at all. Instead my cats seemed to scratch even more. My eldest cat who is 16 had to be rushed to the vet on day 3 because she was lethargic and not eating. I brought the box with me to show vet just in case this medicine was the reason my cat was ill. The vet took one look at the ingredients and told me that the carrier they use ( almond oil) is mildly toxic to cats AND the ingredient peppermint oil is very toxic to cats. Peppermint can cause respiratory distress in cats. They suspected my cat had poisoning from the peppermint oil. They washed the oil off her neck the best they could so she wouldn't get further poisoning through her skin. I asked how companies are allowed to sell a product that has ingredients that are toxic to cats? Vet said it's because flea medications are not FDA regulated so they can sell whatever products they want to consumers. Hard $500 lesson learned that even products being sold on Chewy doesn't guarantee its SAFE for our fur babies.

It was natural

I cant even leave a rating. I am all about the natural solutions before I have to resort to a chemical. Earth Animal was much cheaper and the ingredients are safe

I cant even leave a rating. I am all about the natural solutions before I have to resort to a chemical. Earth Animal was much cheaper and the ingredients are safe. Win, win. Right? I have 3 cats, put it on them and not only did it just leave a greasy spot on the back of their necks, but they scratched non stop for 2 days. I waited two days to see if it would give them any relief or notice a dead flea. If anything, I think it escalated the problem. Im sorry, I am always about trying natural things first, but Im gonna pass on this product.

Within 2 days of application, I found 2 dog ticks on one of my cats. Two ticks later and I did another application, and again, within one or two days, I removed two ticks from the cat. The other cat is tick and flea free, but he doesn't spend as much time outside and probably isn't spending time in the woods and wetlands like the first cat is.

Finally! A non-poisonous solution that actually works! My indoor-outdoor cat has no side effects using this application. No side effects, other than giving us the cold shoulder for a couple of hours! I’m really pleased with this product and can’t say enough good things. The first application was given when we had already found ticks on her. So I gave a second application after 3 1/2 weeks. Since , I’ve only had to do it every four weeks. The stuff really works!! and nobody stinks. We use cedar oil to control ants and other indoor pests because it is not poisonous to household pets.

The reason I gave this a 1 Star is because my cat had a very bad reaction to the product. I did as the directions said and only used a few drops to see if there would be a reaction. We ended up at the vet's. To be fair, he does have a lot of health issues, so this didn't come as a big surprise. It may work great on another cat, but it's not for mine.
