What are the thickness of these bags

Are these bags compostable?

The manufacturer has stated the following about this product – “Our dark green bags (like those handle bags) contain a Totally Degradable Plastic Additive (made by EPI) which fall within the definition of oxo-biodegradable. Essentially, the additive allows the bags to breakdown at an accelerated rate when exposed to elements such as heat, oxygen, moisture and agitation- like conditions found in anaerobic landfills! These bags will break down about 60% within the first 24 months and then whatever is left is then converted into small amounts of water, carbon dioxide and biomass with the help of tiny microorganisms found in landfill environments! We do however sell compostable bags as well! Our pale green bags are certified compostable and made from a mix of vegetable starches and PBAT! These meet the ASTM D6400 standard for municipal composting as well as the EN13432 Home and Industrial standards for compostability!".

These bags officially measure 7 inches wide by 13.5 inches tall. That said, they have a gusset of 4 inches on either side, which means they open up to over 12 inches wide.

I use it for my litter box

I like how big these are. I can easily tie them up and keep them away in a bin until I fill it up throughout the day. I haven’t had any leaks or rips yet. One thing

I like how big these are. I can easily tie them up and keep them away in a bin until I fill it up throughout the day. I haven’t had any leaks or rips yet. One thing I don’t like is how narrow the opening is. For some reason, I feel like the opening is smaller than a regular bad, and I can’t put in my litter scoops as easily or without it touching the handles. Thank you chewy for hooking us up with the large pack!

Unexpected letdown: for both dogs

Personal preference: the handles get in the way of my picking up the stuff for which the bags are intended! It's hard for me when picking up, to keep an eye on

Personal preference: the handles get in the way of my picking up the stuff for which the bags are intended! It's hard for me when picking up, to keep an eye on the top part of the "pick up bag" and where the handles begin that do not have full coverage on the pickup. It's very frustrating to me--I don't need or want to have to pay attention to where the short(er) pick up part ends and where the long spacey handles begin. I invariably have to wipe the "dirt" off of my fingers and hands after pickup. I much prefer the FULL BAG----all BAG to the top of the BAG---no handles!!! I bought these because they are scented and didn't notice the handles, per se, or that the handles make a difference. So, I'll use the rest of them and never buy earthbags with handles again!!!!

not what I expected

I specifically ordered these because they are "unscented" - I open the box and there is an odor of perfume - not sure if it was mislabeled or maybe made in the same

I specifically ordered these because they are "unscented" - I open the box and there is an odor of perfume - not sure if it was mislabeled or maybe made in the same factory as the scented version? But either way the box I received did have a perfume odor; I will be returning these. Besides that, the bags seem well made and a good size the plastic seems durable too.

Love the handles.

These bags are so much easier to use than the ones without handles. I also use them to line a ceramic pot I use for discarding food scraps, because they fit it

Finally!!

I needed these so bad! I have 4 cats and their litter boxes gets scooped twice a day. We have a trashcan specifically for them. Only problem is it takes a little

I needed these so bad! I have 4 cats and their litter boxes gets scooped twice a day. We have a trashcan specifically for them. Only problem is it takes a little while to fill it up and I usually have to throw it away with barely anything in it because it starts to stink quickly! I needed a solution and had considered getting a litter genie of some type or something similar. But the reviews on those were so mixed that I just couldn't decide. These are perfect! They fit the clumps from all 4 cats from both of the litter boxes. Then the bags can be tied up and tossed into the cats main trashcan until it fills enough to change out! A game changer for sure! No more stink either!!! And the fact that these tie up so easy and are also made using recycled plastic is a beyond amazing bonus!! These also work great for when you bring your dog out on a walk and don't want to carry the bag! You can just clip the bag loops into a carabiner!

size of bag and its quality

I have a 90 lb dog who poops large amounts. These bags are the only ones I've seen large enough to accommodate the volume with ease. The handles are irreplaceable

The pros are that it didn’t take that long for the bags to ship, the packaging is nice and eco-friendly as well as the bags, and the bags are small and wide enough to scoop my cats litter, and are probably good for small dogs, too. The cons are that the scented bags I got smell weird to me and I can’t really pull out one bag without pulling out all of them. Overall, I am still happy.
