I've tried several common brands of boots, for foxhunting, and these are the ones that stay on when others won't. They don't last a real long time, eventually the moisture causes them to come apart, so that makes them a little expensive; but I keep getting them because they stay on and are very useful when a shoe has come off and you still want to ride.

Boot protects the whole hoof in the rocks on the trails in Arkansas mountains. Has enough tread they dont slip and stay on when fitted correctly. Ive tried several and the newer types fall apart during big climbs. They also have no tred for the hills and can be slippery.

Too complicated to put on

The Old Mac's are way too complicated to put on. There's not enough room to put the horse's foot in once you get all the pieces where they need to be.
