Is there a strong plastic smell or anything like that?

I am wondering if the expandable sides must be opened all the way or can be expanded jus half or quarter way so that the pet can have a view of the outside, and I can also see the pet inside? it is a very closed carrier compared to some others that have netting on the side also.

Does this carrier have a luggage sleeve to attach it to rolling bags? If so, is it located on the side or the bottom of the carrier?

Floppy and smaller than expected

When all zipped up it could be a good carrier but the side tents/vents don't stay down and aren't very big. When you unzip either entry port, it loses structure

Decent carrier overall, but it doesn’t fit under all airplane seats. The wire frame prevents it from sitting flush, and while the sides expand, the weight of the frame causes it to fold in on itself. The luggage sleeve is too wide, so it slips around on carry-on handles and often tips to the side. I flew on three different airlines, in both business and economy, and it never fit comfortably under the seat. This carrier should not be advertised as ‘airline approved.’ It’s too long and takes a lot of effort to wedge under the seat far from ideal for travelers who want to board and settle in quickly. On one flight, a flight attendant even told me that if the plane had been full, they wouldn’t have allowed the carrier on because it blocks the under-seat space. For the price, I expected better quality ultimately, it felt like money wasted.

My sweet 15 year old man had all of the room and flew in luxurious comfort. 10/10 would recommend (check airline guidelines as this is not regulation size for some airlines).

We received a carrier that looked quite different, in that it wasn't expandable on the sides. Chewy sent us a replacement when we said that we had received the wrong

We received a carrier that looked quite different, in that it wasn't expandable on the sides. Chewy sent us a replacement when we said that we had received the wrong item, and they sent the same non-expandable carrier, so perhaps it's just that the larger size isn't expandable.

Good versatile bag

good quality construction. Option to expand sides makes it a great option when taking our cat (13lbs) out and about but still need to leave him in the crate.

good quality construction. Option to expand sides makes it a great option when taking our cat (13lbs) out and about but still need to leave him in the crate. My one complaint is the way the side flaps are secured, require reaching into the crate to open a panel allowing the pet access to the expanded sides. (If that panel is left open then the mesh falls into the crate, collapsing on the animal.). there are some work arounds that we have figured out so still am happy with the purchase and would recommend.

I measured the bottom of this carrier upon receiving it, and it is closer to 9 inches in width. It states that it is 11 inches wide. I'm returning it.

Too small for 14lb dog when fully zipped.

We loved the idea of this carrier -- to give stretch out space whenever possible. However, the added fabric on the sides, when zipped up/in for carrying, takes up

We loved the idea of this carrier -- to give stretch out space whenever possible. However, the added fabric on the sides, when zipped up/in for carrying, takes up an extra inch+ on the inside, and was too cramped for our 14lb dog. When zipped, I think the small size would only be suitable for dogs 10lbs or under, not "up to 15lbs" as listed. Quality was good.
