Orbitie works best with clumping or scoopable litters. Fill the litter area with up to 5L of litter, keeping it below the MAX lines. For optimal performance, use high-quality clay litter that clumps hard and quickly. Please avoid using low-quality bentonite litter that turns muddy and non-clumping litters like wood pellets or crystals.

What is the weight limit for a cat?

I can’t say enough good things about the Orbitie Automatic Self-cleaning Litter Box. It has completely transformed the way I manage my cat’s litter. The cleaning is fast, quiet, and thorough, no more scooping, no more mess, and no lingering odors. My cat took to it immediately, and I love how sleek and modern it looks in my home. What really stands out is the convenience. I travel often, and now I don’t have to worry about my cat’s litter box while I’m away. I’ve had the Orbitie automatic litter box available to my cat for about two weeks now and overall, I’m impressed with the design and functionality. It was relatively easy to assemble right out of the box, as directions were clear and pieces were numbered clearly. I filled it with Worlds best litter which is a corn based clumping litter, and is what my cat is used to in her other box. I also put some of her old litter inside so she could recognize her scent. But she didn't seem very interested. However, I wanted to see how it ran, so I put a clump in from her box and set it to run. The self-cleaning feature works smoothly and quietly, and slow enough it wouldn't scare most cats. It seemed to have a small gap between the litter and the sitter that I think small clumps may easily get thru. The clumps are than routed to a small plastic lined bin for ease of changing. The app that you use with it (but don't have to) was easy to install and navigate. It syncs quickly with the litter box and gives a breakdown of box usage...including how many times it’s been used. That kind of data could be helpful once my cat starts using it regularly. That said, my cat hasn’t made the switch yet. I’ve kept her regular litter box available just in case since I don’t want to rush her and I really don't want accidents forming. Hopefully with time she’ll get comfortable enough to give the Orbitie a try which will allow me to more easily and effectively clean her box. All in all, the product seems solid and well-designed. Just waiting on my cat to get on board! ^..^

With multiple cats I can’t keep up with the litter and finally broke down and bought one. This had a good price point for the ratings. Unboxing was straight forward. I gave 4 stars because one of the side clips to hold the two parts of the globe together was broken off on arrival. But I don’t think it will affect the working. The start up guide was not great, the pictures showing how to put it together was confusing and some didn’t make sense and I just had to figure it out. A video link would be extremely helpful. Once it was together I had to use the user manual (not the quick start guide) to get it set up with WiFi and connected to the app. Overall maybe 30 minutes for setup and app programming. Within 10 minutes I had an alert that a cat had used it. I went to check and sure enough a hard clump was in the pan and the litter looked smooth as if it hadn’t been disturbed. So happy. There are some great things about the app. You can set a sleep mode where it won’t automatically cycle in the middle of the night, which is good because it’s right near my sons room and I was worried about it waking him at night. It also has a delay so you can choose how long after the cat leaves to cycle (this would help if the litter hasn’t sat long enough to clump hard, you can adjust to wait longer). Overall very happy.

Overall, I like this automatic self-cleaning litter box. Scooping a litter box daily (or multiple times a day) is no fun, so I was excited to try this. The assembly was easy and only took about 15-20 minutes. It comes with a mat to keep any litter that may be stuck to the cat’s paw from getting on the floor. The mat is small and slides on a tile floor; however, I simply put the front two legs of the machine on top of the mat to hold it in place and it works great. The opening for the cat entrance/exit looked a bit small, but both of my cats (one 13lbs and one 21lbs) were both able to get in and out just fine (not at the same time, of course). I initially put this litter box in the same room as their usual litter box and they quickly explored and started using the automatic box (within a couple hours). There is a companion app that is easy to download, install, and use. It’s convenient to see the status of the machine from my phone. I can also manually start a cleaning cycle from the app, if I would want to, but it’s not necessary because the machine automatically senses when a cat has gone potty and automatically cleans the litter. It makes very little noise and I’d never even know when it cycles unless I was standing next to it. The waste container slides in and out from under the machine and it’s quick and easy to close the waste bag, remove it, and replace with a new bag. I change the bag every 5-7 days which is way better than daily.

The els pet Orbitie automatic litterbox arrived in a large box. Quick assembly with helpful instructions. It took me approximately 40 minutes to complete setup, including installing the wifi app on my smartphone. The cleaning cycle is quiet, and you can set a schedule, keep it automatic, or set for on-demand. My cat was with me investigating set-up and was initially scared of the litterbox after watching it run the automated cycle. However, the instruction manual came with some helpful tips to get my cat quickly acclimated to using the new litterbox. During the cleaning cycle, the dome rotates around and uses a sifting mechanism. The cleaning cycle did initially miss a small piece of stool, but captured it on the next cycle. The waste bin fits underneath the machine and keeps the odors well contained. The app is easy to use - I love that I can turn notifications on to monitor my senior cat’s usage and litter habits to help monitor for health issues. Usage is also tracked over time in the app, with options to see daily, monthly or yearly usage. The app also features notifications for litter levels and has a child lock option and kitten settings. You can also change the cleaning delay (the amount of time from when the cat leaves the unit until the cleaning cycle starts). I highly recommend this litterbox with the easy setup, quiet cleaning cycle, and easy to use app to monitor everything! Perfect to monitor my senior cat’s litter habits and usage for his health.

I have a multi-cat household, and so far none of them want to use this litter box. Assembling it was not difficult. It has a nice sleek design and fits perfectly in my smallish bathroom. Two of my cats are afraid of it, so they won’t go near it. The other two go inside it but won’t do their business. If your cats are not picky, I’d say this would be a good product. If your cats are picky and don’t like to have their routine changed at all, this may not be so helpful.

I LOVE this for my elder cat who has litter box confusion. I have/had 4 total litter boxes for 12 yr cat and young litter trained Dutch bunny. NEVER had issues with my cat using the bunns box, until the past 4 months. I had been considering a self cleaning CAT litter box to see if it would help, but expense kept me from introducing ONE MORE LITTER BOX to the 6 I now own. THRILLED when Chewy offered the Orbitie Self Cleaning Litter Box for me to try. WELL packed, all pieces perfect. The Orbitie went right together using manual/quick start/Youtube I was expecting company so did not connect to wifi, left it near my cat's existing box for several days and forgot about it. After 4 days I was excited to get back to the Orbitie Self Cleaning Litter Box to do "training" only to find? Cat is already using it and had switched boxes by himself. Horatio is a BIG boy so he does spread litter but the included litter catch pad helps. TOTALLY worth continuing to use specific litter catch bags. The Orbitie is significant in size? BUT SO worth finding the space. I really like how creative the process works to sift and contain waste, no touching. I believe knowing what I know now? I would buy this Orbitie product.

I WISH I could give this more than a 5 start review. Doesn’t seem to do it justice! This thing is soooo cool! Super easy to put together and carry and I love that it comes with a litter catching mat. The app is easy to download, understand and I love that I can see how many’s times my kitties step into the litter box. It did take a week or so to get them used to it, but once they were they took to it quickly.

It works sometimes ok not as good as the more expensive models but you get what you pay for. It seems to do ok Jams up sometimes when litter doesn’t drop down all the way in waste bin have to shake he bin, or change it completely my cats took to it real well. I hope that it last awhile not sure about the bottom that holds the clean litter seems that cats that scratch a lot in the box could tear through it pretty quickly, that is a wait and see thing for now.

The self cleaning litter box was easy to set up with clear instructions. We did buy a clumping litter as advised and it works great. I was worried my cats would not like it at first, but they used it right away. The only thing I wish it would improve on is the smell, even though the droppings are stored under the machine I can still smell it. I think we just might need to empty it more often than the advised 20 days. Otherwise, awesome product and it saves us to much time and my kitties love having clean litter each time they use it.
