This pet door features a sturdy aluminum frame that works with all wall types and installs in walls 2 inches - 7 3/4 inches thick with provided materials (or up to 15 3/4 inch thickness with the Endura Flap Double Flap Dog Door For Deep Walls, available directly from the manufactuer).

How is the secure cover put in place to prevent them from entering? Does it slide down in place from the top, side etc?

The locking cover slides in from the top and can be used on the inside or outside the frame.

It’s been awesome for 4 years! And we have crazy wind!

Works well even for a small yorkie at this large size. It did take a little bit for them to learn how to push it in the corners so they could get it to budge with the magnets but luckily they learned fast and it works extremely well with the amount of wind we get on the side of our house it’s on.

I had to purchase an extension kit directly from the manufacturer due to having a double wall. Instead of using the black liner which was essentially just a thin

I had to purchase an extension kit directly from the manufacturer due to having a double wall. Instead of using the black liner which was essentially just a thin vinyl that will get clawed apart in days or weeks, we put in left over LVP flooring. The only thing I do not like is that the door is not insulated. I will save some closed pore packing material to line it and consider purchasing another door for the outside.

Disaapointed

Truly disappointed with how easily this thing has fallen apart and malfunctioned for the price I paid. Similar doors are $150-$200 and this one started falling apart

Truly disappointed with how easily this thing has fallen apart and malfunctioned for the price I paid. Similar doors are $150-$200 and this one started falling apart within DAYS of installing it. I don’t even know what to do at this point. I installed it in an exterior wall and it was a real pain. Do I try to get another one that won’t stay together? Do I try to get a cheaper one and hope it’s better? For almost $800 you’d think the door flaps would hold up and the frame wouldn’t pull apart. A lot of feelings here.

Not for cats

I like it. It’s important to know that it is not made for cats. I don’t know if ours have figured it out yet or not. The doors are pretty heavy. I have to disassemble

I like it. It’s important to know that it is not made for cats. I don’t know if ours have figured it out yet or not. The doors are pretty heavy. I have to disassemble it to take out one door and maybe cut a flap in the door to make it better for the cats. That would be a nice option; a mini flap. The test fit in the instructions wasn’t covered by the instruction video.

Works great

Love the way it looks and was easy to install. The only thing I wish it had was an adjustable length. Mine was a little too long and sticks out a little.
