Completely agree with other reviewers. This product is nothing like it used to be. It was lean cuts of meat (see photo) now it's fatty disgusting garbage (see photo). Never buying again.
After many many years with Evangers I have switched companies. First the hunk of beef became fatty and included what should be thrown away. Now Drumettes are coming including or solely wing tips. Braised beef chunks are also fatty with similar things that belong in the trash. One can was solely two large chunks of fat. 2022 was when I placed my last large order for drumetts and chunks. Before that there was not an issue with those two.
This wet chow USED to be great. However, the last four flats of it I received were DISGUSTING! Not the braised beef chunks of the past. Pale hunks of meat with fascia and some times even skin and offal still attached and very hard to break down. I mean, there was even an eyeball staring up at me from one can. I know it’s dog food, but for this premium price, it’s sadly lacking. I thought it may have been a blip, but the last orders I received have been progressively worse as far as quality. To the point my pups turn their noses up at it and my big guy puked it up shortly after eating it this AM. Super disappointed in Evanger’s for the steep decline in quality for a premium price.
straight out of the can they were these 3 huge chunks of shredded meat stuck together, a little bit of vegetable and a very thin, watery gravy with white fat globs. I decided to warm it up , breaking down the meat and it turned into what I would consider a really nice bowl of stew. My dogs LUV’D it! ( one is very picky) The ingredients are simple and clean. There was no harsh dog food smell. I was impressed, it almost reminded me of a pot roast meal. Sorry I forget to take a pic of the finished/warmed up product. Maybe Ill take one later and add it.
I have purchased many different types of canned dog food over my 50 years of dog ownership, and I must say this is by far the best Ive ever bought for my two GSD's, and they absolutely love it. " You get what you pay for "
This is the best stuff!! Real roast with peas and carrots in its own juice. My dogs love it!!!! My dogs won't eat pate or canned dog food anymore. They want homemade real food.
It looks Ok, the smell is not bad. It is grease, and my picky doggy would only eat it if she doesn't get anything else. Expensive dog food.
My dog dives into her bowl for this. Shes 15, with a poor appetite, but goes crazy for evangers.
my dogs love it even though it's alittle expensive.
They went crazy for this food. Is looks and smells like human grade beef pot roast. It makeme hungry when I open the can and smell it. I use it as a topper for their dry.
