What is selenium yeast? According to this pet wellness life stress scan, my dog can have Brewer's yeast but should avoid baker's yeast, yeast culture, and nutritional yeast. Would selenium yeast be in the nutritional yeast category? Thanks
Answer by ChewyMay 22, 2019
Selenium yeast is produced using brewer's yeast. The yeast is grown in a selenium-enriched medium, it absorbs the selenium and converts it into the form that's naturally found in foods.

Our doodle loves this

We wanted to stop mixing the kibbles with human food, so we tried different canned foods. Our dog is allergic to chicken, so we gave this canned food a try. By far our doodle loves this food. It's not a thick pate, so it doesn't pack down when our dog tries to eat it, it smells good, and I'm not sure exactly how it's made, but I'm sure there's something in there that just hits the palate just right. Problem is, it's out of stock...so we wait.

Superior dog food

My dogs liked this food very much. It also has a good texture and smell. I wonder about one thing. Why do dogs need to eat guar gum? I noticed this has become now the standard in dog food. Maybe the manufacturer can answer this. Because of this non-sense ingredient I gave it only 4 stars. I do recommend this dog food. It was probably the best from all the ones we tried over the years. Maybe the dogs can confirm this.

Another winner

This meets my boy's criteria: allergies and pickiness. He likes it; it's good for him, and I'm grateful I can afford it.

Brick says, "5 star."

Our std. poodle wolf's down this combo. He recommends other dogs try it but told us to leave it, leave it for him!
