What is selenium yeast? According to this pet wellness life stress scan, my dog can have Brewer's yeast but should avoid baker's yeast, yeast culture, and nutritional yeast. Would selenium yeast be in the nutritional yeast category? Thanks

Answer by ChewyMay 22, 2019
Selenium yeast is produced using brewer's yeast. The yeast is grown in a selenium-enriched medium, it absorbs the selenium and converts it into the form that's naturally found in foods.

Where is it made? Are the ingredients from China?

Answer by ChewyJun 28, 2019
This food is made in the United States and all meat in Evanger's recipes are sourced from inside the USA and cooked in their own kitchens. Evanger's sources 90% of ingredients from 50 miles within their Chicago location where they pack and manufacture the food.

This a pate?

Answer by ChewySep 20, 2020
This recipe features a pate texture.

Is there any glucosamine and/or Chondroitin in this recipe? If so, how many milligrams of each per can? Also, are these cans BPA free?

Answer by ChewyNov 11, 2019
This variety does contain glucosamine and chondroitin (derived from natural ingredients) however, the exact content is not tested for at this time. Evanger's uses BPA-free cans.

Love!!

My dogs love this food as a topper, but unfortunately a majority of the cans arrived dented. I haven’t noticed any bubbling or signs of bacteria though so I’m hoping

My dogs love this food as a topper, but unfortunately a majority of the cans arrived dented. I haven’t noticed any bubbling or signs of bacteria though so I’m hoping it’s just a shipping issue and not something with the manufacturer!! For the price and ingredients it’s something I’m willing to look past as long as the food inside isn’t spoiled

The good and the bad .

My dogs seem to enjoy this food I haven’t had any complaints from them I use it as a mixture into the kibble. Unfortunately I looked into the company and the FDA

My dogs seem to enjoy this food I haven’t had any complaints from them I use it as a mixture into the kibble. Unfortunately I looked into the company and the FDA allegations are numerous and easy to find. I will no longer be purchasing their products. Two stars for my dogs eating it only . Check out poison pets . Chewy why are you selling this product?

Healthy

I think Evangers is a best brand. Mostly just meat. Healthy. My dog liked it. He prefers meals I cook for him, but when I have to feed him canned, I know he's getting

Good Food, Terrible Packaging

The food is great but all the cans were rolling around out of the cases and all dented. I was afraid it was thrown together from returns but all seem to remain

He Loves it.

I use this dog food as a top off. I was using a Science Diet which is strictly for gastrointestinal issues. He also loved that but it's too expensive almost five

I use this dog food as a top off. I was using a Science Diet which is strictly for gastrointestinal issues. He also loved that but it's too expensive almost five dollars a can. He started getting tired of his Red Barn salmon whole grain dog food that has been eating for 3 years... he ate every drop for a couple years. Add 2 to 3 tablespoons of this dog food he eats every drop again. I like the fact that it has limited ingredients. Venison beef and a few other things.
