Quality that’s easy on the hand

Replacement for Evolution rake that lasted many years. This rake is Sturdy and ergonomically designed to reduce hand fatigue. Highly recommended!

Some assembly required????

The Evolution undercoat rake arrived today. The handle was separated from the brush. Not well put together at all!

Good Tool, but Beter with Longer Pins and Handle

I’ve had Newfoundlands for many years and I’m probably on my third generation of Evolution rakes with rolling pins. They work great on dogs with thick, double heavy coats, but you definitely need the ones with two rows of teeth. I liked the old version with the longer, thinner handle better. These also used to be available with two different lengths of pins and the different pin lengths work better on different kinds of coats.

BUY IT NOW

We have a lab/shepherd/husky/who knows what else...and she has a double layer coat. She’s just over a year old so this is our first spring shedding season with her. Most of her fur was on the couch and the carpet no matter what we did. This brush was recommended to us as it is for double layer fur. I wish we’d gotten it sooner!! The mounds of hair it pulls off with just the littlest/no pressure added is ridiculous! We basically brush off another mini dog!

Did not work well

I did not like the design or effectiveness of this comb. The handle is shorter than expected and not easy to use. The teeth of the comb don't penetrate the surface enough to get the fur from the undercoat of my dog who is a Husky/Shepard mix. It is no more effective than a regular brush

LOVE THIS GROOMING TOOL!

Excellent for my Great Pyrenees! Wish I had this for my 3 prior Pyrs. Love that it has a handle hole for hanging it. Keep it on the door to 'outside', and give him a few quick swipes on the way in (fur like Velcro brings in leaves, twigs, pinecones, etc.).

Works good on my Pomeranian

Helps keep my Pomeranian from matting up and doesn't pull his fur. Well constructed and gets the shed fur out. Probably best for fluffy medium to long haired dogs. For shorter haired dogs you'd probably do better with a Furminator.

Doesn’t work

Don’t know what the purpose of the rotating pins is. This brush is terrible. Didn’t work at all on my double coated dog. Literally did nothing!

Meh, Not Great

We bought this for our Anatolian Shepherd. It doesn't do much to de-shed his winter undercoat.
