Instructions

Combine Large and Small sizes for more realistic variations in climbing surfaces, replicating tropical vines at different stages of growth. Twist together vines of different sizes for a stunning 3-D habitat. Perfect for herptile habitats with snakes, geckos, iguanas, chameleons, tree frogs, or other climbing reptiles and amphibians.

Reptiles are susceptible to skin and bacterial infections if cages and housing are not kept scrupulously clean. Their fecal matter carries bacteria, such as Salmonella, that can also contaminate humans. Terrariums, furnishings, and the cleaning equipment itself need to be regularly cleaned as well as periodically disinfected and sterilized.

Remove the contents from your terrarium. The best products for cleaning your herp's habitat are those specifically designed to be herp-safe. Otherwise, use plain soap and water or mild dishwashing detergent carefully diluted. Be sure to rinse all surfaces with hot water until all suds are gone, and do not use any products that contain phenol or pine scent. After washing, you must also disinfect and sterilize all surfaces with chlorine or ammonia. However, both chlorine and ammonia are highly toxic to your herp, so exercise absolute care to remove all residues before replacing your pet in its newly cleaned home. Be sure to thoroughly clean all equipment, sponges, buckets, and sinks to prevent cross-contamination. To minimize the danger of Salmonella infection, wear gloves and protective eyewear as you clean your reptile's enclosure.

  • Very happy chameleons!

    By on

We have several of these vines both large and small in our chameleon enclosers. All three of our chameleons prefer them to fake plant vines. These are great to prevent your chameleon from climbing on the sides of their cages too much and hurting themselves. Very bendy and can twist well but if you twist too hard they can break.

  • Works great!

    By on

Many people said this vine sheds everywhere, but I haven't had this problem at all. A few small black pieces broke off when I took it out of the package, but other than that, no problems! It bends very well, yet it is firm enough that it can support my adult crestie's weight. It is a bit hard to get it to stand, but once you do, it won't fall. Highly recommend!

  • My crested loves this!

    By on

My crested loves sitting on this vine. You can easily manipulate this, and I cut it to make a smaller vine since I have a hatchling and it was easy to cut. The only con is that their poop and food is hard to get off this vine.

  • Great product, excellent quality!

I have already purchased two of these from chewy, and will probably order more! Every one of my chameleons has one, and they sleep on it every night. Very satisfied.

  • Bendable??

    By on

Would not recommend this product. It broke in 3 places while setting it up. Was only attempting to bend it to fit in a 12×12. Not bendable, in my opinion.

  • Looks great

It’s really good looking but my chameleon doesn’t like it as much as his natural ones. Not sure if will hold up long either material is weird.

  • Love these

I like to take 2 and twist them together to make a thicker more sturdy vine. Also you can screw through it to attach it to a wooden vivarium.
