Proper lighting is important to the overall health of your reptile. It helps regulate physiological functions including appetite, energy levels and breeding behaviors. The Exo Terra Night Heat Bulb Reptile Lamp emits blue light to simulate natural moonlight and generates minimal heat to provide tropical night time temperatures. The lower wattage of these bulbs does not interfere with natural night drops in temperature.

Unfortunately this light bulb did not make it very long. This seems to be a common occurrence with several lightbulbs of this brand.
This build doesn't last no time! It's probably the worst one I've used as far as the goes. The light and heat output are great though.
The rescue box turtle , Joy, is ever so happy with her heat lamps. These bulbs give her comfort and help her through the cool nights. She is now 25 years old, and needs to be pampered. Chewy helps me to give her what she needs.
I know it's the light because I just had 100-watt basking light in it and decided to use the night light. Within 5 hours it burned out. I went down to the local pet store and bought another brand night light and it's been strong for 3 days... I have to check Chewy’s return policy.
Great light and put off a good amount of heat! I got this light as a backup and it’s better than the one i’ve been using!
This product HS only been used for a few days and already doesn’t work
No good got this bulb about 2 weeks ago and it burnt out
bought two of these in january as well as the review i posted of the turtle ramp i bought and neither bulb worked
I might have misunderstood if good for turtles.. I tried it for night only to find Cecil not on basking ramp but hiding in corner of tank. Perhaps he didn't like purple darkness or was confused by change of brighter light. If he's happier sleeping through night under day lamp then he will. I felt guilty finding him in corner by morning after a night of change in his environment. He's happier sleeping in brighter light.
My turtle's night heat bulb burnt out on one of the coldest nights and my back up broke. Poor little guy had to have his day lamp on overnight. I ordered one at 11:30am (with other items) and it arrived at 10:30am the next day securely wrapped in bubble wrap.
