Give your reptile the benefits of natural sunlight with the Exo Terra Solar Glo All in One Reptile Bulb. Reptiles require both UVA and UVB light to produce vitamin D3 which aids in the absorption and metabolization of calcium. The Exo Terra Solar Glo All in One Reptile Bulb is the choice of professional breeders as it provides the proper balance of ultraviolet light (including UVA and UVB), visual light and infrared light (heat), in one easy-to-install bulb. Exo Terra Solar Glo All in One Reptile Lamp is a full spectrum light with carefully tuned peaks to ensure appetite, activity, brilliant colors, and optimal calcium absorption.

⚠️ WARNING: This product can expose you to Lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
If the bulb is to be mounted inside the terrarium, then the minimum height is 48 inches for the 125W and 60 inches for the 160W Solar Glo. Be sure to provide enough space to allow the animal to be a minimum of 12 inches from the bulb's surface in addition to providing a temperature and UV gradient within the terrarium.
Carefully remove the bulb from its packaging, hold bulb by the base and inspect the glass envelope for any possible cracks or damage.
The Exo Terra Solar Glo must be housed in a fixture with a ceramic/porcelain base that is rated for at least the wattage of the lamp. DO NOT use a plastic socket as it is a fire hazard and will void the warranty. The Solar Glo must be mounted in a vertically oriented fixture so the bulb points straight down and NOT at an angle.
Mounting this bulb at an angle will reduce its burn life and will void any warranty.
Do not use this bulb in conjunction with a dimmer or thermostat.
This bulb is sensitive to high temperatures and vibration. Make sure that it is mounted in a place with good ventilation and where it will not be disturbed. Moving the bulb while switched ON will shorten its life and void the warranty.
Mounting Location: The Solar Glo will function best when mounted outside the terrarium where it is not exposed to extreme heat, humidity and vibration. If you must mount the bulb inside the terrarium, make sure your reptile cannot come in contact with it. If the bulb shuts off unexpectedly, a safety feature (thermal reset) has likely occurred.
Plug fixture into an electrical outlet (surge protector is recommended). The Solar Glo will take five minutes to warm up and reach its full intensity. The bulb's output will continue to change hue (or color) until it has completely warmed up.
Restarting: The Solar Glo bulb will take 15 minutes to cool down after turning off the bulb, before being restarted. This is due to a thermal reset feature intended to prevent damage due to overheating the bulb
If the Solar Glo shuts off for no apparent reason, one of the following condition may exist:
The power being supplied to your outlet is inappropriate or fluctuating. Small changes in line voltage can trip the bulb's thermal reset mechanism. If the voltage is consistently low, then the bulb will not be able to function properly. Check with your local utility or your electrician to verify your voltage. Overdriving the bulb (i.e. high voltage levels) by as little as 10% can decrease burn life by more than 50% and would void any warranty.
There is too much heat in or around the terrarium and the bulb The Solar Glo's thermal reset feature will shut the bulb off for a cool down period if it gets too hot. Using the bulb in a place or fixture that is not well ventilated can cause heat buildup. If the bulb occasionally shuts off to cool down and later restarts (usually about 15 minutes), this is normal.

Bulb was working good but burnt out fast only after a couple of uses
Not sure if other customers received bad eggs but I've bought both of my lights form here....they last me more then a year but I end up having to replace the bulb far before the bulb actually burns out. They say you should replace UV lights every 9,000 hours and or every 12 months give or take. These lights last longer then that. I came here to get a 3rd light but sadly they are all out. So far this is the only light my bearded dragon likes. I've tried many from other shops even got a uva and a uvb light to use but he is blah, less active, doesn't eat as much. So I shall wait patiently for these to come back, which I hope is very soon, I don't like knowing my bearded dragon is unhappy.
Good bulb. I have had a few of them and have never had any issues. The hardest part was finding the right bulb for the heat I needed. I had a 160W for my 4'x2'x2' bearded dragon enclosure and basking spot would reach around 110°. I dropped to a 125W and am about at 103°. The 160W box advertises a temp of 88° at 12" from basking spot (where mine is) and the 125W box advertises a temp of 86° at 12".
I was looking for an all in one bulb when I first got my baby bearded dragon and all the bulbs in the Solar Glo line didn't work for mine. He started avoiding basking and that isn't normal for a beardie. I figured out the culprit and it turns out there too hot for him. While beardies can withstand hot temps to a point, this one was just too hot. I think the concept is fantastic, but this product didn't work for me.
Got this bulb yo use in my dragons habitat. He seems much happier and I definitely am. It's a larger bulb so the heat is much better for the basking area in my deep tank, something I'd been fighting with before.
This mercury vapor bulb is unrivaled in its price range. It does its job noticeably better than regular heat bulbs which do not simulate natural sunlight and its benefits to reptiles, only apply heat. Mine lasted just over a year. I definitely recommend this bulb and I recommend chewy as similar or even the same bulb go for 2-3 times as much at other retailers.
Love this bulb! It gives my beardie all of the UVA/UVB/warmth that he needs in his enclosure all in one bulb. Keeps the warm end of his tank in the 90s and the cool end in the high 70s- so it works great for him! He loves basking in it each day. The only thing I definitely recommend is change it every 6 months whether it burns out or not to ensure you are getting proper UV levels at all times!
I buy one of these about every 6-8 months for my beardie and I’ve never had an issue with it, works great :)
I would recommend this if you need both heat and uvb. You do have to replace it every six months because the rays of light do fade and also the temperature decreases. Awesome price. Awesome blubs.
The second I hooked this light up my turtle immediately jumped on her rock!! Heats up very well
