Description

Keep your tortoise’s beak healthy while providing him with wholesomely chewable nutrition with the Zoo Med Banquet Block Tortoise Food. It’s made with a unique blend of spineless cactus and other vegetables like alfalfa and carrots inside a calcium base. The cactus and vegetables are a great source of nutrients for your pal, and the block provides essential calcium to keep him healthy and thriving. Every time your tortoise chews on the block to get at the goodies inside, it actively works to prevent his beak from overgrowing. It’s great for providing food and an enrichment activity while you’re away from home, and it’s ready to be used straight out of the package―simply place by your pal and let the beak-friendly chewing begin. Plus, it’s proudly made in the USA with no artificial preservatives.

My tortoises reside on lightly dampened coconut fiber and a day after putting this food block in there, it started to get moldy maybe? it looked disgusting and smelled even worse. I chucked it the second day. waste of money

  • My Sulcata Tortoise Love it.

    By on

I think it's great that they are offering things for tortoise also. We have a 2 year old Sulcata Tortoise Tortimer who we think of as one of our hard shell kids. Tortimer loves this more than his plain cuttlebones.

My box turtle could care less about this food block. I still haven't found anything that she willing to commit to. Hopefully I'll find something healthy soon.

it is larger than I thought it would be. It should last the summer. Right now she's in hibernation (Dec) so I don't know if she actually likes it yet

  • Easy way to give hatchlings nutrients

    By on

Read that hatchlings need this. Set down in their habitat. Have not seen them nibble on it yet, so cannot give 5 stars. Like convenience of it.

  • Good option

    By on

My box turtle has taken his time on eating this. However it is large. He bit it in halve right away. Moves it around his habitat and eats on it now and then. Good to make sure they have this option for the minerals they need. Better than a cuttle bone.

  • Tortoise not a Fan

The Leopard Tortoise doesn't seem to be fond of this, but we'll keep it in there just in case he decides it isn't scary.
