Chewy is a great place for stuff for pets when you dont want to pay that petsmart price, however I cant say I was happy with this, I would rather spend the extra 20 dollars to get coco blox instead of cocoshavings which is what this mostly consists of. If all you got is like 10 dollars, this is the bag you want, if you have a collection, just go to freedombreeder.
Surprisingly Soft & Fluffy

My tortoise really seems to like this. I was worried at first that 2 large bags wouldn't be enough. It's surprisingly soft and expand a bit when fluffed. A nice alternative to the coarse repti bark I usually get.

I have sulcata tortoise and I use this for his habitat. Only problem he sometimes eats the thin coconut fibers

This stuff is great. I use it for all 17 of my Ball Pythons. And its more affordable than those other brands that people think that they can put their name on it, and jack up the price. Or the other high dollar name brands. This stuff is no different from that. Really good sized chunks too.
Great for Eastern Box turtle

Coco husk is great, my Box Turtle loves to bury himself and the coco husk isn't harsh and is easy for him to dig in!

My sons blue tongue skink absolutely loves this stuff!!! The bigger coconut husk particles are just what the doctor ordered, it keeps the smaller fine dirt like substrate from getting in between his scales and causing an infection! Provides great moisture retention and makes great material for him to burrow and make his hide !!! Definitely recommend this product for larger reptiles !!!
Good and safe

I hear this is the best for Ball Pythons because, even if they accidentally ingest it, it will not harm them.

Our red footed tortoise does best with this substrate. It is very clean, and holds humidity perfectly.
Would not recomend for a really humidd enclosure

This substrate has grown mold in my enclosure for my frog twice now, plus it seems to have a color on it, leaves a orange brown color if left in water for a short time.
Covers a lot of area, surprisingly!

Bringing the tortoises in for the winter is never pleasant for them so I wanted to make their bedding enjoyable at least. I ordered 10 bags thinking it would never be enough but their 5'X6' indoor enclosure only took 5 bags! The husk is on the softer side, which I liked, and oddly enough seems to clump their droppings like cat litter! I love this stuff!
