This is advertised as an outdoor/indoor habitat. How does water drain out of it for outdoor use? Are there drain holes in the bottom for when it rains?

This is designed for outdoor use. This does not have any drain holes.

Should have waited and built one

I hate to leave a bad review because I love chewy and this isn't their fault but the manufacturers. The wood is chipped in multiple places and I got tiny splinters

I hate to leave a bad review because I love chewy and this isn't their fault but the manufacturers. The wood is chipped in multiple places and I got tiny splinters in my hands putting it together. The front side doesn't match up and is higher than the other side so I'm not sure how I am going to fix that yet. It also doesn't screw together on the bottom left and right side so it's flimsy and substrate will leak.

So simple to put together!! I love that the whole thing is light enough wood that you're not struggling and sturdy enough to not be "flimsy", which sometimes can be expected with such a fantastic price. The directions were completely understandable and well-illustrated. No "Where did this go again?" statements were uttered. I'm good with animals, but not with putting together stuff from a kit. This was my first attempt, and it was wildly successful! The habitat's new resident, "Mildred", is ecstatic with her new digs. She's a Western Box turtle well over 100 years old. I know this because I've had her since I was 12, and I'm not revealing MY age! If you're skeptical about this purchase, don't be. It's worth getting, especially at a Chewy price. Make your critter ecstatic!

The paint job.. minimal. Chipped , Everywhere! They left some plastic and what sticky paper on the glass where you have to use a straight razor to get off what you can.. it was easy to put together and it works . So unless ya care if it’s pretty worth the money.

High-end living for my turtle

After 30 years, I decided to upgrade my box turtle's habitat. This is the perfect size and design. Turt now has a bedroom and a combination living room/dining area!

After 30 years, I decided to upgrade my box turtle's habitat. This is the perfect size and design. Turt now has a bedroom and a combination living room/dining area! He is so happy in his new house that he has been eating double what he used to. I highly recommend this house for land turtles.

Very easy to put together. I bought this to use for my new chicks after it was recommended by another person online. Awesome suggestion, and much cheaper than

Very easy to put together. I bought this to use for my new chicks after it was recommended by another person online. Awesome suggestion, and much cheaper than other brooders. Love the separate area for their food and water. I do wish it was a little bit deeper, but for the price it works. Only complaint is the prop stick on one side is slightly off, so the lid falls off. Its probably my bad, I didn't double check alignment of the prop stick before screwing it in.

Works for the Time Being!

As you can see in the pics, there were a lot more breaks in the wood and such than I really expected. This is something for our tortoise in the cooler weather, so

As you can see in the pics, there were a lot more breaks in the wood and such than I really expected. This is something for our tortoise in the cooler weather, so I was not going to go through the hassle of returning it. Hopefully it will last for a few winters (fingers crossed). Our tortoise LOVES it though! So much better than the glass open front enclosure she had. She is less stressed in something like this. Again, some minor flaws.. but if I paid more I would have been really angry about it. Also the way they put the wrap on the acrylic windows.... you had to take it all apart (from the wood). Hard to explain. Anyway..... Not the best but made a tortoise very happy.

You get what you pay for, I guess

Nowhere in the description does it say that it’s made out of cedar, which is highly toxic to reptiles. I’ve mostly heard that it’s only the cedar chips and shavings

Nowhere in the description does it say that it’s made out of cedar, which is highly toxic to reptiles. I’ve mostly heard that it’s only the cedar chips and shavings that release oils and aromas that are toxic to reptiles, but still, I would rather not use a cedar enclosure for a reptile. Otherwise, the quality is OK. I’m definitely going to use it until I can’t anymore. It’s for my 1yr old Sulcata. Also added some pictures of damages.
