  • Pricey, but works

    By on

Product made a difference with our 8 year old hound mix. He used to moan and whimper when climbing on couch. Used this product and after a month or so he was not making old dog noises. We stopped giving it to him a couple of months ago and he has started to make old dog noises again when getting up and climbing. We will definitely be starting this back up. I cannot say if it will help your pet, but i know it did with ours.

  • Did not work

I had read mostly positive reviews on this product so thought would give it a try for my Siberian Husky who has arthritis, it says to give 4-6 weeks for results, well it has been 4 and I see no difference in him, so on to the next recommendation to see if that will work.

I have a Great Pyrenees that has Low thyroid and partial displacia. Right hip. She became overweight due to the Low thyroid. So, she has a great deal of difficulty getting up. She is also in a lot of pain. Countless pain killers and joint supplements later nothing works. She started to react to the thyroid pills in a negative way. Being just a tad on the hypothyroid scale her medication now became too much. Long story short...the box of Extend has a warning about Hyperthyroidism. I figure if she's just a little Low this might put her where she needs to be. I started this supplement a week ago and I am already seeing a change. She is more social and awake. She usually sleeps all day. She gets I have a Great Pyrenees that has Low thyroid and partial displacia. Right hip. She became overweight due to the Low thyroid. I haven't given her any supplements but this and have stopped her thyroid meds and pain killers. I will take her in for blood work in a couple of weeks to see where we are with her thyroid. So...so far so good...finally!!!!! … more

My 14 year old Golden was strugglung to the point we had to carry him out to go to the bathroom.. I really thought it was the end.. but by miracle I came across an ad for this and thought...what do we have to lose?? The vet said, “can’t hurt!” That was a year and a half ago... he gets up easily on his own... although a little slower than his younger days.. and he tries to jog along with his sons when we take them on walks every day.. inside I know he feels like a pup again his body is just getting old in him.. I believe this product was a miracle!! Even our vet comments on his age and how well he is doing!! And he loves the extra flavor in his dinner bowl!

  • Finally something to help her aching !

This was so easy to add to the dog's food. I added a little warm water to this in the food, and it seems to be helping her.

  • Extend made a difference!

My 14 year old golden retriever/lab Sophie, was really having a hard time getting around. It seemed her shoulders were really bothering her and would limp so badly on her front legs that I thought she would collapse one day. I was hurting for her! I saw an ad for Extend and read some reviews and thought I would try it. It really did help my Sophie! she is walking with a greater ease and not as much discomfort. I will continue to use this product!

  • My dog loves this stuff

    By on

First off let me start off by saying my dog is a picky eater. I mix this with Water and as soon as she can smell it being mixed she runs right up to me and scarfs it down! So I will thrilled about that. My dog is about 75 lbs and only a year old, but always had a funny walk with her back legs. Fearing it could be something like hip dysplasia I started giving her this stuff. It’s been about 3 weeks and she’s jumping up on stuff all the time now that she never would before. Before she was very hesitant about jumping on the bed etc, or had a hard time getting up but now she’s jumping up all the time and I can tell she’s happy! It’s kind of expensive but worth it!

  • A Miracle In A Packet!

His story. Bruce is a 5 year old giant schnoodle. He, unfortunately, is the product of unethical breeding. His breeders did not screen his parents for genetic issues at all to include orthopedic issues common in both standard poodles and giant schnauzers. Bruce has bad knees, bad hips and severe degenerative discs in his lumbar spine. His vet believes he is not a candidate for surgery because his back is in such bad condition it wouldn’t be able to compensate for the recover of surgery. Like with humans who have degenerated disc disease in the lumbar region, when you have surgery to fix one part, often times a domino effect occurs and the upper regions start to crumble and collapse. He also has mild hip dysplasia, and arthritis in both knees. He has been on a glucosamine/ chondroitin supplement as well as tramadol for pain. He doesn’t do well on NSAID treatments like Rimadyl as it makes him ill to his stomach. He also has extreme food allergies. He is allergic to beef among other things. I noticed the beef liver powder on the Extreme ingredient list, it concerned me, but considering Bruce’s daily pain, I was willing to give it a chance anyway. We just give him a Benadryl when we give him his extreme, but if you decide to make a beef free formula I’d be thrilled! (Make it poultry free too) He insists on sleeping next to me every night. Our room is on the basement level. The mornings were always the worst time for him. He would wake so stiff and in so much pain that he would need to be carried up the stairs (all 90lbs of him). The day I went ahead and ordered the Extend, Bruce was laying on the floor and attempting to get up and realized he was stuck in the laying position. He yelped out in pain. I was so heartbroken then literally a couple of seconds later after comforting him and giving him his tramadol, I came across Extend on my Facebook feed. I read about it, was totally skeptical but had absolutely nothing to lose. In just two weeks he was getting out of bed in the morning and running up the stairs. Running and jumping and playing with the other dogs! Thank you so much for helping my 90 pound giant lap baby! … more
