Mane 'n Tail
Mane ‘n Tail is a subsidiary of Straight Arrow Products, Inc. which was founded in 1970 by Philip and Bonnie Katzev, two horse enthusiasts who wanted a more gentle product for their own horses. They developed the Original Mane ‘n Tail Conditioner, and the results were quickly noticed by peers and other equestrian enthusiasts. The Original Mane ‘n Tail Shampoo and Conditioner were initially targeted at show horses, but these weren’t formulas they could keep off the market for long. As soon as they realized their product maintained the same lustrous and healthier results when used on themselves, they had a whole new customer base. Development of other items quickly followed, and all worked just as well for humans as they did for horses, allowing the company to flourish in multiple markets. Mane ‘n Tail remains a family business, now run by the second generation. They continue to manufacture their own products with strict quality guidelines to satisfy customers of both the equestrian and human kind alike.
