Package and cans mislabeled?

Just received my autoship case of the Salmon Florentine. It is not the correct food. It looks like it has to be one of the Primivera foods. It’s definitely not

Just received my autoship case of the Salmon Florentine. It is not the correct food. It looks like it has to be one of the Primivera foods. It’s definitely not Salmon Florentine. I’ve opened 4 or 5 cans so far and they are all some other food so the whole case must be wrong. I don’t know if this is just a mislabeling error at Purina or if this was a bad batch. Purina offices are closed for New Years but I will call them again to see what they can tell me.

Health is a number one priority of our cats, and we do not like artificial ingredients, however, whatever was done to the Florentine recipe, was not favorable to any of our cats therefore we will be returning. Looks like Primavera or Tuscany makes me wonder what the “touch of milk “was in the old recipe.

My elder cat became very picky, and had lost a little weight. Vet confirmed he’s healthy, but has turned his nose up at dozens of premium brands. Exhausted, and out of food, I bought a few cans of Florentine Fancy feast at grocery store (which I never do) , and he was absolutely in food nirvana. I ordered from chewy, except I didn’t realize it was tuna, not salmon, which I think is healthier. Luckily, I also bought the variety pack and it confirmed his preference. And yes, I just ordered my spoiled one the tuna variety. The things we do for love!

Although labeled "salmon Florentine" it is NOT the food that is in the cans.

We've ordered salmon Florentine for many years and know what it should look like. Food in the cans, despite label, is not a Florentine of any kind.

I personally prefer fresh sockeye but, Lacey seemed very happy with her menu change. She’ not really keen about Fancy Feast tuna in the Florentine assortment.

Irmy ate all of it.

Irmy always leaves some of her food, and some more than others. She reminds me of Mikey in the old Life Cereal commercial, "Mikey won't eat it. He hates everything!"

Irmy always leaves some of her food, and some more than others. She reminds me of Mikey in the old Life Cereal commercial, "Mikey won't eat it. He hates everything!" But she ate every bit of the Salmon Florentine the first time I gave it to her. And she still eats most of it when we feed it to her. I was very pleasantly surprised, especially since I'm not rich and a few dollars more on a case of cat food is kind of a splurge for me. So 5 stars from a very finicky cat.
