Both aluminum and steel (or “tin”) cans are recyclable. Check the label to see which material is being used. Purina products made from aluminum say so directly on the can. If it’s steel, that information is printed on the label.

I bought the Fancy Feast Petites In Gravy Grilled Chicken with Rice for my cat Jay, who can be a picky eater at times, and this is one he consistently eats. The small tray size is perfect for keeping meals fresh, and the gravy helps keep him interested even on days when he is not excited about food. He usually finishes the entire serving, which is a big win for a cat who sometimes turns his nose up at meals. The chicken pieces are easy for him to eat, and the rice does not seem to bother his stomach. This has become one of my go to options when he is being selective. I will definitely continue buying this.

Fancy Feast prints 'Rice' on the label in small print so I missed it when I added it to my cart. Apparently cats don't like rice but I guess it makes for a good cheap filler to make more money. I have 3 cats and they all pick and eat around the rice. They refuse to eat it. This was the AI answer from the Purina website. "Rice is not toxic to cats, but it is not beneficial for them either, as they are obligate carnivores that primarily need meat in their diet. While small amounts of cooked rice can be given as an occasional treat, it should not be a regular part of their meals."

I have removed this item from future orders because the item is not useable. My cat used to gobble this down but this last order he refused to eat. When I looked closer for the expiration date, it said it was good but half of the box had seepage & smelled bad. One packet was even bloated! The box itself didn’t look damaged but product definitely bad!

Im not super strong . I had to use a knife to cut open the top as it was way too hard to peel open. Food looks like what is in the can, I know its good quality, this is more of a convenience, all you have to do is open, feed and toss. Great concept if you have muscles.

I always give these Fancy Feast Petites in between meals for Riley as a little snack when he is looking for something. It is 1.4 oz and he is always satisfied with it. It holds him off till I give him his 3oz can of food a bit later. Vet doesn’t want him going over 9 oz a day, and so I give him 2 3 oz cans and a couple of little petites throughout day and he is pretty happy!

I like to have this on hand (we have more than a few kitties) because it does seem to help when they are going through a “sour stomach” type of issue due to an inability to get up a hairball. Hairballs seem inevitable with most cats, & the rice does seem to be mildly soothing .. at least it seems like it anyway. The chicken could be a bit smaller in size, but when the pieces are too tough or big I just use a knife & cut up the bigger pieces. Between the gravy & rice, it’s about all I can give them that they’re willing to eat during the days they don’t feel so great.

Miss Annie is 21, and while she’s mostly deaf, has no teeth, and doesn’t see very well, we love her tremendously and she’s a character. This is one of precisely two wet foods that Annie can eat at the moment, and the other one is prescription gastrointestinal food. This does just as well for her tummy (she’s prone to *both* diarrhea and constipation) as the super expensive stuff, and she loves it. I appreciate the two individual servings, too, for freshness for her. She’s only eight pounds so she doesn’t eat a whole can at a time, and this way she gets two totally fresh helpings. We’ve got this on auto-ship!

Poultry tripe?

Assuming the best chicken parts are NOT pulverized and immersed in gravy-like fluids, this may be the reason the cat refuses to eat the contents of certain batches,

It's okay and Oreo likes it. However, it is hard to open and requires a knife for me to cut it open and then get food out of the small container.
