Fancy Feast Savory Cravings Chicken Flavor Soft Cat Treats, 3-oz box

Somebody at Purina actually thought these Fancy Feast Savory Cravings break apart treats were a good idea. These are hands-down the worst edible pet product I've ever encountered. I am not exaggerating. I'm always on the lookout for new soft treats when placing an order at Chewy. First off, these are categorized as "Soft Cat Treats". While they are not crunchy, they are not soft. Our cat has 2 teeth remaining, and will only eat soft food and treats, so this is key. I did look at the ingredient list as I aways do, but I did not pick up on any clues as to what was coming. These treats are sort of like chocolate bars in concept and texture, though not as melty. I quickly realized I could not even crumble these up as I do with his other actual soft treats. They are too firm. So, I tried to microwave briefly to see if they'd soften up. They do a little, but yuck. The chicken and beef flavors have little difference in ingredients. They are primarily beef fat and vegetable oil. They are a greasy mess, and I imagine only the most open-minded cats will touch them. My cat wouldn't even approach. They stink to high heaven, too! The smell is just indescribable. The don't smell at all like a cat treat or food. I cannot stress enough how awful these are. They probably are not especially healthy either except in major moderation. I do not recommend these at all. Chicken or beef.
