Farnam Probiotic Apple & Molasses Flavor Paste Horse Supplement, 30-g tube

This is not my normal brand of probiotic but it was well liked by my mare and her foal. I liked the ease of dispensing it, I liked the texture and they liked the taste. I used this at transport time for momma and her foal. Horses have finicky digestive systems and are prone to distress. The mare has been trailered a lot, but this was a first with her foal. Choosing a gut supplement with prebiotics, probiotics, enzymes, and L glutamine is important to me. This allows a rapid replenishment of the gut and supports a whole intestinal tract. I try to use probiotics to reduce their stress and the results of the stress if I can predict the stress. Products like these are great for after deworming, transport, any separation from the herd, and of course, if you’re going to a show, I was pleased with the texture. It was easy to dispense and easy to administer. I gave five units to the foal, and the rest to the mare. They seem to be accepting of the taste. I later had no diarrhea or intestinal issues with the horses. It is a good value and is a good preventative. I would purchase this product again.

I use to give these to horses that were on antibiotics for whatever reason and I kind of forgot about these pastes until recently. It’s nice because sometime horses will eat around the probiotic powder but this paste you can ensure your horse is getting the full dose, that is if your horse is good to let you squeeze it into their mouth.

This comes in a 30-g hard plastic tube, it is a paste and is flavored apple and molasses, I like that it is flavored, my horse liked it to! This is a probiotic for horses only to promote balance in the intestinal tract. I like that it is palatable and I would buy this, very professionally packaged and I trust the product is fresh and stays fresh.
