This is not my normal brand of probiotic but it was well liked by my mare and her foal. I liked the ease of dispensing it, I liked the texture and they liked the taste. I used this at transport time for momma and her foal. Horses have finicky digestive systems and are prone to distress. The mare has been trailered a lot, but this was a first with her foal. Choosing a gut supplement with prebiotics, probiotics, enzymes, and L glutamine is important to me. This allows a rapid replenishment of the gut and supports a whole intestinal tract. I try to use probiotics to reduce their stress and the results of the stress if I can predict the stress. Products like these are great for after deworming, transport, any separation from the herd, and of course, if you’re going to a show, I was pleased with the texture. It was easy to dispense and easy to administer. I gave five units to the foal, and the rest to the mare. They seem to be accepting of the taste. I later had no diarrhea or intestinal issues with the horses. It is a good value and is a good preventative. I would purchase this product again.

I have never given my horse a probiotic before. He is not fond of oral injectables due to the taste of his wormers. I put a small amount on my finger and coaxed it onto his lip. At first he acted like he wasn’t going to cooperate but once he got a taste he moved towards me and was looking for the source. When he realized it was in the form of his dreaded worm meds he was still hesitant but curious and soon he allowed me to squirt the probiotic into his mouth. I think most horses could benefit from getting a dose periodically.

Not favorable to the horses. The consistency made it diffcult to squeeze out the tube and get in horses mouth. I also didnt like ALL the ingredients, and there are alot.

Let's be real, getting a horse to willingly ingest anything that isn't grass or treats can be a battle. The apple and molasses combo, however, is a smart move. This is a good, standard probiotic for your horse. I used it on my 18-year-old quarter horse to improve his healthy gut flora. He has a couple health conditions going on, so it’s best to keep him in tiptop shape. This probiotic has a nice apple flavor. That being said, I rarely have a horse that enjoys getting stuff squirted in their mouth like your typical pharma paste. Instead, I suggest squirting it very easily right on top of their grain. I’d buy this again in the future!
