We wanted something without carpet posts as our two active 12 year old cats shredded the carpet and chewed on the carpet strings that were left. You could see the wood below. They did this in about 2 years. This one has woven twine to help them scratch well, but not make such a mess or be detrimental to their health
Size of pads to lay on.
The cats love having two heights to choose from to lay on at the top of the cat tree.

I liked all the different cat rest

This cat tree is roomie enough for both of our adult cats. They are not cramped and can actually stretch out more than they were able to on other cat trees. The pouch is large enough that their bodies are not hanging over the side or lifted up. We are very blessed that they are so happy. I would suggest that it be made about 6 inches taller and a hammock be added at the bottom. :)
Awesome Cat Tree

Doesn't fit our cats needs

There is nothing wrong with the structure, nothing wrong with the cat tree - but, this particular tree/condo is not made for older cats to get to the top. The first tier has a condo with not much space to land, the second tier is another condo with a side basket - again, no area for a cat to land on a hard surface to be able to jump to the next tier. There is no angled scratching post at the bottom which would help in climbing. This would be fine for young cats or kittens, but not so much for older cats.
Easy to Assembly - NOT so easy for the cats to climb

First, my cats are from 6 months to 4 years old, so they are young and agile. The tree is well made, assembly was easy, however it's too vertical. The pictures on the site make it look as if there is more landing space to use to reach the next level. On the third level where the square condo and the lower perch are installed, there's about a 4 inch lip in front of the condo. That makes it hard for the cats to jump up there if they can't first jump in the basket. If a cat is on the lower perch, the other cats have a hard time getting to the upper perch. This would probably be great for kittens, but my three boys are big cats. The two smaller girls don't have as much trouble getting around on it.
Easy of assembly

I recently adopted my first kitten and was told by friends with cats that she needed her own little condo. I chose this one because it had good reviews and it wasn’t tacky looking! It definitely fits the bill as far as design and aesthetic is concerned. It looks perfect in my master bedroom and my kitten is able to look outside the window and judge the world. It took me about 20 minutes to put together and was easy to assemble. I am only giving it 4 stars because it arrived with a few tears in the fabric. (Just poor sewing quality) I didn’t feel it was worth packing it up and shipping it back to exchange for a different one so I just used super glue to fix it. Problem solved. And my kitten? She loves it. She fell asleep in the hammock before I could ever finish putting it together!
