Adult: For every 6.6lb of your cat's weight feed 1.5 - 2 pouches per day. For kittens, pregnant of nursing mothers feed up to 2-3 times the adult amount.
When feeding as a complete diet always introduce any new food by slowly mixing with your current diet for the first 7-10 days
I bought the variety box for ease of use as my cat loves the Feline Natural Lamb & King Salmon Feast Grain-Free Freeze-Dried Cat Food which I need to prepare by mixing with warm water. The at-the-ready pouches seemed like a good alternative as no mixing involved. Not sure why but my cat did not like what came out of the pouches so I went back to the freeze dried option. He loves that one.
This cat food is quite expensive, and it is worth the price. When I adopted two littermate kittens in 2021, I wanted to feed them Feline Natural, but could not afford it, so I gave them the best dry food I could find. Recently I got a raise and now have started feeding the cats Feline Natural (yes, it is that expensive!). The same flavors of pouch and canned have slightly different ingredients and calorie counts. This puzzled me so I wrote to Feline Natural asking why; they confirmed that the ingredients and calorie counts were a bit different but did not say why. My cats absolutely love the taste of all the pouch flavors and canned food flavors, licking their bowls clean at every meal. I feed them three times a day and transitioned them by giving them one meal of Feline Natural and two meals of their original dry food. After cycling through each Feline Natural flavor that way, I saw that they not only loved all the flavors, but had no digestive issues. Then I began feeding them only Feline Natural. Once they had completely moved to this wet food, the next change was that I stopped adding fish oil to their meals, as I had done with their original dry food, because I wanted to see if the ingredients in Feline Natural would be enough to keep their coats soft. Their coats are now softer and more luxurious looking than ever. The male cat weighs 14 lbs. and is much more still than his sister, who weighs 10 lbs. and seems like a perpetual motion machine! She is so active that she eats about as much as he does. Within days of starting to eat Feline Natural, both cats became more energetic and when I weighed them after four weeks on Feline Natural, I found that both had lost weight. I increased their daily calories to get them back to their previous weights and now at each of their three daily meals, each cat gets half of a three ounce pouch from the Variety Pack and also 1/6 of a six ounce can. The daily consumption for the two cats added together is three of the 3 ounce pouches and one 6-oz. can. Total monthly cost to feed the pair is about $400, or $200 per cat. Good thing I got a raise!
I own two cats - both around seven or eight months, BOTH were incredibly picky eaters. It got to the point that my family had bought every single flavor you could think of, and only a few were something they'd eat. But if we'd give them the food they preferred every day (even rotating flavors), they'd get tired of that too. It got to the point we'd have to BOIL CHICKEN sometimes - anything to get them to eat. I was really nervous they wouldn't like this food, with them being such picky eaters. But EVERY SINGLE FLAVOR is an absolute WIN! As soon as my kitties hear the package open, they come jumping on the kitchen chairs, and sometimes try to even hop on the table to get an early few bites. They love it so much! And that makes me so happy since this brand is very healthy and organic, no gum in it or by-product. I don't know if any of you cat owners have looked at what you're buying, but in fish foods there's often chicken/poultry by-product! Vice versa for chicken. So this is really good for me AND the cats. It's expensive, but it's worth it. I'm so happy these cats love it so much.
I've done a lot of research into good quality cat foods, and Feline Natural is one of the best. It has a mix of meats and muscle organ meats as well as liver, which is so important for cats to thrive. I had been giving them the canned version of these flavors and decided to dry out the pouches - they GOBBLE these up! I usually order more of the Lamb feast to balance out the fish proteins, but all flavors are loved. It stinks the pouches tend to be more expensive, but the quality is certainly there and my cats give it their two paws approval. :)
This was a new brand I decided to try out and my cats loved it. We tried the variety pack and some flavors had more broth/liquid than others but overall it was a great hit with everyone. Will continue to purchase! Thanks Chewy!
I bought these food because my cat suffers from IBD issues and need less ingredients on his food. I was buying other cat brand but recently his stool is soft and stinky. I guess that brand change their formula. So I decided to give a chance to this food I love the ingredients no fillers. So far my cat love it and I hope he stay that way.
I opened the pouch put in in a plate and gave it to my cat. She smelled it and walked away. Did not come back to eat again. Buyer beware this food is mostly organ meat. Which is the same as meat by products. I did not realize that when I purchased it.
My baby (Jaxson) absolutely loves it. I was a lil concerned he might not like it since he's super picky and I had read some reviews saying the strong smell was a turn off for some. But I still tried it since I was looking for a quality and healthy brand with no gelling agents (that usually include carrageenan). The smell is really not that bad considering it contains fish and his digestive system is doing great.
This food is listed under "pate", but the texture is definitely ground. The Hoki and Beef smells horrid. Thumbs down from me and my cats. Thankfully it's returnable.
Love the natural food. Wish I had known about this in his younger days. He has never eaten so well. Is putting on weight and just a happy cat
