Fera Pets Cardiac Support Salmon Flavor Supplement for Dog & Cat, 120 capsules

I ordered this for my almost 16 year old cat Sassy who had developed heart arrhythmia. I had read many of the reviews from cat parents whose cats had heart problems and it appeared to help some of them. Turns out Sassy was going into congestive heart failure. Unfortunately, I was probably too late, because Sassy crossed the Rainbow Bridge about a month later. But I’ve continued to add this to food of all my cats, from the 2 and 4 year olds to the 14, almost 16, and 18 year olds. Many senior cat foods add carnitine, and some increase the percentage of taurine a bit, but these ingredients are important for heart health, especially taurine, and some foods add the barest of minimum amounts of taurine. I still have Sassy’s twin brother Rowdy, who will be 16 in one week. He is active and vibrant. If this additive can help these senior cats stay healthy, and keep my young ones from going into heart failure some day, it’s worth it. I will continue to supplement their food. And the cats must like the salmon flavor. No one has rejected any of their usual foods with this added.

I bought this for my cat with advanced heart disease and it really has improved his quality of life. Stupidly, I ran out last month and waited a couple weeks to buy more. Big mistake. As soon as I got another bottle and started giving it to him again, his symptoms calmed back down and he’s back to thriving. This supplement has been a miracle for us. I’ll never run out again!

At the yearly check-up last year the vet said she's hearing a slight heart murmur. So instead doing tests and procedures I added this cardiac support to my dog's food daily. I open the capsules and sprinkle it on his food. At the recent check-up the vet did not hear any murmur, instead she said the heart sounds good and normal. I recommend this supplement - it works!
