Meaty Sticks are a Hit for My Dogs

My puppers tried and LOVED Finley’s Meaty Sticks. No snazzy name, but they are meaty sticks. We got the chicken and wild boar recipe. No artificial fillers, flavors

My puppers tried and LOVED Finley’s Meaty Sticks. No snazzy name, but they are meaty sticks. We got the chicken and wild boar recipe. No artificial fillers, flavors or preservatives. I liked that chicken was the first ingredient and that they support a foundation for folks with disabilities. They are not long treats, but are big enough to break into a few pieces. If you have a large dog(s), you will go through the bag quickly (the bag is 5 ounces). Cinnamon and Minnie sat immediately for them and Cinnamon ran off to eat in her crate while Minnie snapped the stick in half (it’s soft) and literally gulped it so fast I couldn’t get a photo of the stick in her mouth on 3 occasions. I gave up lol. I’d recommend these as a special treat for your puppers.

Well, these Finley's Meaty Sticks were a big hit! Our Anatolian Shepherd/Hound mix, Finnegan, wasted no time gobbling one up when offered to him. Two chomps later, and it was gone. He happily waited for another one, but since he is currently on a diet (something I try to remind him frequently), he was denied for the rest of the day. Tomorrow is just around the corner. I will say I was pleasantly surprised at the fact that these are lower in calories than some other treats he's had. Add that to it having ingredients I am comfortable with and him not having any type of digestive issues with it and I could definitely see adding this to his (minimal) treat rotation.

All 3 dogs think these are premium treats, the kind when you get it you take it and run to your spot in the house to eat it lol. They are long treats so I break off pieces for my small dogs with the 1 yr corgi getting the biggest (he’s a small guy) bonus here is every dog gets a couple pieces from each stick. They are soft and I can break with my hands and don’t have to get scissors, helpful! You don’t have to hold your nose when you open the bag either, I appreciate that lol. Dog win, human win for these tasty treats!

While I was happy my pup really liked these sticks, I wish they were a little shorter in length. Unfortunately she can’t chew well with multiple dental issues she’s had but I just simply break them into smaller pieces. Overall they were a hit as seen in the pictures included! It’s nice to see the first ingredient is also chicken however wild boar is a little more buried in the list.

My German Shepherd loved these, and I appreciated that they were 4.5% (min) fat, since she is supposed to have low fat treats due to a sensitive stomach. These treats did not upset her tummy or cause diarrhea. This 5 oz bag only had 11 treats in it, so it is quite pricey to me. And as you can see in the photo, the size of the treat is quite small for her - she wanted to hold it between her paws to chew on it. Too small for her as a "special" reward treat, too large as a training treat. So I ordered a bag of Finley's soft chew training "bites"!
