The best hang on back filter on the market.

Don't look any further for a hang on back filter. I have tried almost every brand including the overhyped Tidal. The new redesigned AquaClear filters are perfect

Don't look any further for a hang on back filter. I have tried almost every brand including the overhyped Tidal. The new redesigned AquaClear filters are perfect in every way. Plenty of room for media, quality construction, a design that doesn't easily bypass the filter, adjustable flow that recirculates the water internally, a nice size 30 ppi sponge that will keep your water nice a clear. There is nothing to not like here.

Like the new sponge filter I can put on the intake tube preventing snails and debris from entering filtering mechanism. Keeps the motor mechanism nice and quiet

Like the new sponge filter I can put on the intake tube preventing snails and debris from entering filtering mechanism. Keeps the motor mechanism nice and quiet. New internal rack situates media differently. Looks good, not sure if it makes a difference. Cost has gone up. Used to be $40 years ago, now in $70 range.

The motor for the filter assembly was in crooked and began leaking as soon as I filled the filter with water. Upon further inspection I found it broken. The motor
