A great value and savings over buying another brand that I use to use. It works great at keeping flies off my horses. Avoid the eye area and use a cloth and wear gloves when applying. I recommend this product
This product is hard to put on my dog the texture is of an ointment, The smell is to strong for my dog and it didn't end up working for my pet.
Needed this to cover a wound my dog had. Even with the prescribed medication on the wound the flys were having a field day. Ordered this and Voila! No more flys.
This does not keep the house flies away from by dog's face, but it keeps everything else away! My Rottweiler lives outside, and we recently have had a problem with face flies biting around her eyes and creating bald spots. I apply a small amount of this around her eyes every 2-3 days and it keeps all those small knats, biting midges, and face flies away. While house flies are more of an annoyance than a serious issue, I wish it worked for them like the label says.
I got this because my German Shepherd dog was getting bit by flies on the top of his ears creating nasty dry blood sores on the top of his ears. Within a week of me putting this ointment on him the sores were gone and his ears completely healed. It healed his wounds and repelled the flies away at the same time. Really satisfied. The only thing is I had to wash his ears off really good with dog shampoo because the white ointment does stain his ear hair. But great product, I would recommend
This item did not work. My dog is an outdoors dog that cause flies to attack her. I understand dogs are dirty and this ointment is not for an entire body. However, the reason I bought this item was because I noticed flies on her face even in her eyes. This was the only item that seemed reasonable. I put this ointment on her face and it was no difference. Do not purchase this item as it does not work!
This stuff was the best item I could have gotten for my husky. Flies tend to bite and latch on to the tops of her ears making them bleed and scab up. After the first application of this, she hasn't had a fly come near her at all and it has been over a week. This is a GREAT product, thank you!!
My poor labs would go outside and play in the water.. while they were out there they would be attacked by flies and their poor ears would be eaten. They were raw and gross I bought this product put it on and their ears have healed and are not getting bit up anymore..So happy for my furbabies
My dog had bleeding ear tips from fly bites this summer. I put this liberally on his ears (yes on cuts) & it does keep them off but I find myself reapplying twice a day because the flies come back. Not as good as I hoped but it's something. I'm doing fly traps and sprays in his outdoor fenced area.
It worked for our three dogs. No more bites as long as applied twice daily.
