Great price and very good litter! I prefer the unscented for my kitty so he doesn’t have any reactions, and this is a great choice! I used to use crystal litter

Great price and very good litter! I prefer the unscented for my kitty so he doesn’t have any reactions, and this is a great choice! I used to use crystal litter because it has the color monitoring, but after realizing it doesn’t work that well I switched to this kind and my kitty took very well too it! It is has considerably less tracking than the crystal as well! Great choice!

Less Messy Than Other Products

Whether it's my own cat or the other cats my family had when I was a child, my family and I have always preferred to use Fresh Step for our cat litter. Until recently, I had been using the regular Simply Unscented formula that comes in the 44-pound bulk packaging, as I found it to be the best deal for my dollar. However, in the last couple of months, I made the switch to the Clean Paws formula in the hopes that I could keep my apartment a bit more tidy. Despite my best efforts (having a high-sided litter box, having a large litter mat covering the surrounding area, regular vacuuming, etc.), my cat still somehow manages to track significant amounts of litter EVERYWHERE throughout my apartment. I have hard floors, and while they are quick and easy to clean, it drives me crazy when I walk around and can feel copious litter crumbles beneath my feet. Enter the Clean Paws formula. The litter granules are noticeably bigger, and I feel like this formula is a bit less dusty than its regular Simply Unscented counterpart. While my cat does still inevitably track litter throughout the apartment, I have noticed the amount of litter I am finding elsewhere has diminished. As with all of Fresh Step's unscented formulas, the Clean Paws formula does a wonderful job of clumping and eliminating odors. I also feel this litter has wonderful longevity for a single-cat household!

Too dusty

I tried unsent it because I’m concerned about all the chemicals. I’m inhaling every time I do a dusty litter change with fresh step, which I’ve used for many years

I tried unsent it because I’m concerned about all the chemicals. I’m inhaling every time I do a dusty litter change with fresh step, which I’ve used for many years. This formula is even dustier than any of the others. MacArthur constantly tracking paw prints all over the floor, even with two mats in front of their box.

That it doesn’t go everywhere so I don’t step on it and it doesn’t make dust.

The chicken? Dehydrated and 53 bucks? Way expensive and I have a big guy who loves to eat big pieces and he likes when I have a choice of size so half of it is not

This gives them plenty of dirt to dig in, cuts down on any odor, but the best thing is it makes it so much easier to clean out every morning.

Packaging VERY difficult to open

The outside cardboard box isn't a regular box. So instead of tape, they glue the box together for about 4 inches on both sides. That means you have to pry it open

I assume some genius is saving 04 cents on the cost of cardboard, but if I can't open it, I'm not buying it.

OVer a lifetime of cat care, I have never used such an awful littler. This litter gets wet and turns into cement, impossible to scoop out of the box. I couldn't

OVer a lifetime of cat care, I have never used such an awful littler. This litter gets wet and turns into cement, impossible to scoop out of the box. I couldn't believe this was something that people like to use. It took forever to pry out the hardened sludge and clean the black smears that it created. I threw the rest of the litter away after just 2 uses. I wouldn't even offer it to anyone else to use.

Dear Readers, I rarely leave reviews and yet I read them all the time. My kittens came from a no-kill shelter - that saves all cats that are blind, which more people would adopt if they realized how cool they are! - and they took right to this. The vet reminds me, too, that cats do not like scented products as those are for the humans. Still, there is no need for a scented product as this unscented product works beautifully. Scooping is made easy and it's a zen-like experience to clean, my husband says. And I am busy writing this review. Zillie and Zoey say hello and they approve of this message.
