Just a suggestion, don’t wait 10 days (or really “a few”) to scoop Kitty’s pee…once a day and Urine smell is gone

Chemical scent, NOT unscented

Some lots of this litter are far more scented than others. Recent orders have been very strongly scented, and this ends up smelling like a strong chemical smell

Some lots of this litter are far more scented than others. Recent orders have been very strongly scented, and this ends up smelling like a strong chemical smell that migrates from my cat's paws to his scalp. Every time I nuzzle my cat, I'm greeted by that terrible chemical smell that becomes more and more dense as he uses it over time. I've tried cleaning his scalp with a warm soapy washrag to manage it, but there's little change. If I had to guess, I would wager that the reason some lots smell more than others is because Fresh Step is integrating leftover fractions of other scented litter in their production process to manage waste and costs--ie. 1-5% 'standard" litter folded into the rest. Here is the lot number of the most recent offending lot in my photo.

This litter is definitely not unscented. I’ve been using it for years, and it always had a mild perfumy odor that I just chose to ignore. My most recent box has an overwhelming perfume scent, so much that I checked a few times to make sure I didn’t receive the wrong product. When I searched online, I saw similar experiences being reported, and whenever anyone says they’ve reported their findings to Fresh Step, the company just gaslights them. My cat has been using the most recent box of litter for three days and he reeks of perfume. My clothes snell after I scoop. I will not buy this litter again.

Strong scent

I have been using this product and like that it is unscented until my last order. It is highly scented and I looked over the packaging to see if I was missing something

I did call Fresh Step and they didn’t give an explanation, however, they did give me a replacement.

Great that this comes in a bundle of 4 ten lbs bag.

All my cats used this. One star deducted for when the cats peed on this litter, the urine sank all the way to the bottom to form a large heavy lump. I pre-sprayed

All my cats used this. One star deducted for when the cats peed on this litter, the urine sank all the way to the bottom to form a large heavy lump. I pre-sprayed the pan with cooking oil to prevent sticking, but the large pee-lumps were very difficult (heavy) to scoop up (almost break the plastic scooper). I don’t use the metal scoop to not scratch-up the stainless pans. Because of much larger lumps were formed, much more litter got used up, this increased the cost. Going back to Tidy cat, my cats preferred Tidy cat for the smoother and smaller granules; the lumps stayed cradled within the 3 inches of litter and are much lighter and easier to scoop.

Ripped again

Best clumping litter I have ever used I have raised dozens of cats and have tried almost every brand of cat litter. I love this because it smells clean, it clumps

Best clumping litter I have ever used I have raised dozens of cats and have tried almost every brand of cat litter. I love this because it smells clean, it clumps firmly and makes it easy to scoop. It makes my life easier and Maisey enjoys going in there and using it. It does track a little bit because Maisey has big fluffy feet.

Turns to mushy clay clumps EVERYWHERE

I have 3 cats, and all three had issues with this litter. First, it doesn’t clump and harden. It stays a mushy texture so it gets trapped and then stuck in between

I have 3 cats, and all three had issues with this litter. First, it doesn’t clump and harden. It stays a mushy texture so it gets trapped and then stuck in between paw pads and toes and nails. They track the clumpy litter everywhere leaving paw prints and litter clumps. I’m constantly cleaning and disinfecting. They struggle to even clean the litter off of themselves and I don’t want them accidentally ingesting it while cleaning themselves either. The litter also clings to the litter scoop and that is a pain because the clumpy clay crumbles and falls apart when scooping. Fresh step offers other litter that is way better. Skip this kind for sure!

Item is great. Delivery awe full!!!

Delivery person threw the liter boxes in a very harsh manner. The whole apt building shook and our smart TV almost fell. Called Chewy and complained about the incident;

Delivery person threw the liter boxes in a very harsh manner. The whole apt building shook and our smart TV almost fell. Called Chewy and complained about the incident; however, Chewy rep was not helpful or had any empathy. He seemed to even have a smile under his tone. If this is how my delivery will be, then I might as well go to an alternative method to purchase my many fur babies items.
