A 20-pound bag of litter should last you between six and eight weeks depending on how often you change the litter and also how many litter boxes you have.

The clumping nature of this litter makes getting rid of waste super easy. The litter quickly forms a clump around liquid waste, then you remove clumps and solids daily, and dispose of in the trash. How often you deep clean your litter box depends on how many cats you have and their routines.

Is the litter flushable?

This litter and solid waste should only be disposed of in the trash. We do not recommend flushing this cat litter down the toilet.

Since I adopted Miss Lily, I've used Freshstep as their go to litter, but lately when I clean their litter the clumps of urine doesn't hold together and as soon as I scoop it up, it falls apart. I've tried other litters and wasn't satisfied and neither was Miss Lily and Mint. So I went back to using Freshstep and I've had no issues with them using their litter box. Thanks again Chewy for being a huge part of my family! Your prices ROCK!!! You always have my back and Lily's and Mint as well. You have a loyal customer here and as far as we're concerned there's no place like Chewy's to take care of us! As long as the Good Lord gives us breath I refuse to go anywhere else for my fur-babies food and accessories! God bless everyone at Chewy! May you all have a most blessed Christmas! Reseal never works anymore. Bags never open correctly along perforated lines

For the past year or 2 the quality dropped. The resealable top just peels i to little shreds like a cheap sticker. Youll never have a sizable piece to actually re-seal

Also the perforated tear at the top is getting harder to open. Ive even had to grab a pair of scissors. Just tired of companies cheeping out while costs go up. Rethinking what litter i use now

I received my order this morning. The delivery was perfect the packaging was all intact. I opened the package of kitty litter to put it away. When I lifted one of the four bags inside the package it was split open on the bottom. I had a trail of litter all through the house. It was about a one inch slit on the bottom of the package and you don’t notice it until you pick it up.. well I had it through three rooms. Had to get the vacuum out to clean the mess.. the other three bags were fine. It didn’t happen in transit because it was on the slit was on the bottom inside the wrapped package. When I took them all out it was spilled all over the cardboard package and still all wrapped perfectly in the plastic.. no damage to the outside packaging at all. So it was put together damaged.. ok thanks

I have one cat and get this multi pack and it lasts almost 3 months for me. Because it’s delivered, I don’t have to worry too much about lugging it from the store

I have one cat and get this multi pack and it lasts almost 3 months for me. Because it’s delivered, I don’t have to worry too much about lugging it from the store to home and saves my back a little. The product is also excellent at odor control. This is the only litter I’ll ever use and I’ve tried ALL of them!

Extreme disappointment

We have been loyal Fresh Step users for decades. It *used to* be the best for controlling odor and scooping. We returned a large order of Fresh Step earlier this

We have been loyal Fresh Step users for decades. It *used to* be the best for controlling odor and scooping. We returned a large order of Fresh Step earlier this year, when we found it to be 1. not clumping and 2. not controlling odor. Chewy looked into it and said the formula had not changed that they were aware of; perhaps it was a bad batch. Since then we've gotten multiple "bad batches". The litter boxes, and, consequently, our house, smells strongly of ammonia. It's a horrible smell--and makes our cats smell, too. This is despite daily scooping and twice weekly dumping everything out, scrubbing and sanitizing, and refilling with clean litter. I *would not* recommend this litter to anyone--in any of the multiple scents and forms. We've tried them all and they do. not. work. I'm posting this on every variety we've purchased in the last few months.

Best cat litter on the market!

Worth every penny. Every single deposit made by cat is 100% scoop able. ALL urine clumps into scoopeable ball or clump. Scoop all out, replace with same amount

Worth every penny. Every single deposit made by cat is 100% scoop able. ALL urine clumps into scoopeable ball or clump. Scoop all out, replace with same amount of (add to existing clean litter remaining in box). Litter smells clean. Add a bit of Arm and Hammer cat litter odor powder at scooping time. You do not end up having to dump out all litter at every box change bc box is filthy, as with all other litter brands! Keep 1 litter box per cat, never smells bad. That and Chewy’s top entry covered litter boxes are a game changer. Manufacturer has a Web site worth checking into to save $.

Good Litter, Torn Bag

I bought this litter mainly because I'm in my 70s and have difficulty carrying heavy items up my stairs. Also, I'm on a budget! This is nice litter, not too fine

I bought this litter mainly because I'm in my 70s and have difficulty carrying heavy items up my stairs. Also, I'm on a budget! This is nice litter, not too fine nor dusty. And I do appreciate the easy to manage four 10.5# plastic bags. Opened the box outside and carried the bags, one by one, into the house! Unfortunately, one bag arrived torn and made a bit of a mess, plus some litter was lost. Ah well, delivery issues are the norm. I will be buying this brand in the 42# pack again, but I think next time I'll try the free and clear unscented. I'm not really seeing unusually fantastic super duper clumping power, nor smelling Febreze with this variety and yet paid $4+ more, so...we'll see! Oh, and my kitty boy Logan wants to be sure you know that he likes the texture, similar to teeny tiny sand pearls instead of grains or chunks. It doesn't stick to nor get tangled in his toe bean fur. YAY! Four thumbs up from the two of us :-)
