Incredibly Dusty

We have 9 indoor cats and have been using fresh step religiously for 14 years. It has always clumped well, kept the odor at bay, and never bothered the cats. As

We have 9 indoor cats and have been using fresh step religiously for 14 years. It has always clumped well, kept the odor at bay, and never bothered the cats. As you may imagine, with 9 cats we have several litter boxes and go through a lot of litter. Over the last 6 months the litter has become increasingly dustier. The cats always smell like the litter, it bothers our sinuses every time we scoop the boxes, our furniture has a layer of dust from the litter that it didn’t have before. We are now looking to change litter after these 14 years which is something we never imagined doing.

For someone who has asthma, and who has a cat with asthma, and also doesn’t want the whole house smelling like cat litter, this has been a complete nightmare to clean up. Fresh Step used to be great, I’m not sure what happened, but the formula has most definitely changed.

But it creates too much dust, it becomes very sticky and hard to clean the littler robot. It was recommended to use for the robot. It m then sticks to the cat’s paws and I had litter all over my floor. Wouldn’t buy again.

I have arthritis in my hands and wrists so trying to wrestle big boxes of heavy littler is not fun. I order the case that has 4 bags. The bags are lighter, easier the manage, and easier to store. We have been loyal Fresh Step users for decades. It *used to* be the best for controlling odor and scooping. We returned a large order of Fresh Step earlier this year, when we found it to be 1. not clumping and 2. not controlling odor. Chewy looked into it and said the formula had not changed that they were aware of; perhaps it was a bad batch. Since then we've gotten multiple "bad batches". The litter boxes, and, consequently, our house, smells strongly of ammonia. It's a horrible smell--and makes our cats smell, too. This is despite daily scooping and twice weekly dumping everything out, scrubbing and sanitizing, and refilling with clean litter. I *would not* recommend this litter to anyone--in any of the multiple scents and forms. We've tried them all and they do. not. work. I'm posting this on every variety we've purchased in the last few months.

No Foul Odor

The litter smells fresh as it reads, its clumping capabilities are excellent. I clean my Hershey’s Litter Box every other day so you get no odor of cat pee or poop

I have 4 cats and we always buy fresh step. It has been the only litter we have found to decrease the smell. I switch from the scented to multi cat one to mix but

I have 4 cats and we always buy fresh step. It has been the only litter we have found to decrease the smell. I switch from the scented to multi cat one to mix but I love the febreze because it doesn’t have that litter scent. Ofcourse you still have to clean the box often and it does still track on the floor some.
