Wouldn’t recommend for a bigger dog

I used this on a saint bernard and the metal part felt strong when i ordered it but after a few uses it became loose from the plastic part

I use this for my long haired Cat. It works well on tangled fur.

I use this to help control matting on my long haired cat. You have to work slow and be gentle but it helps untangle small knots. I have found that grooming tools

I use this to help control matting on my long haired cat. You have to work slow and be gentle but it helps untangle small knots. I have found that grooming tools for dogs work better than a lot of the tools recommended for cats when they have longer fur. Just go slow and gentle and if they become to stressed, take a break and come back to it. I would work for only short periods, maybe five minutes and then try again later. And give him a treat before I started and again when I stopped.
