Can one of the ends be used as an entry/exit point or does it need to be the double doors in the middle?

This crate is not designed for the doors to be switched around. It must be assembled as intended to ensure stability.

Nice, and Would Love a Modification

The Double Door Metal & Wood Crate was easy to put together. The crate feels sturdy. I love that the crate looks like furniture. The only modification that I suggest

The Double Door Metal & Wood Crate was easy to put together. The crate feels sturdy. I love that the crate looks like furniture. The only modification that I suggest is to the flooring of the crate. I wish that it was plastic for a doggie accidents or sickness.

There were some scratches. It is definitely a very easy and quick assembly which I was hoping for!! (5 stars for the ease of the assembly) HOWEVER, believe it or not...I spent more time trying to get rid of the styrofoam fragments that were all over all the panels. They use the cheapest and most fragile styrofoam in the packaging of the crate. My dog hasn't used it yet...so I hope it will work out! I also noticed that the locks are so flimsy.

Poor construction

The hardware provided was not created for the unit. When we called Customer Service, the agent stated that this had been a recurring issue as reported by other buyers

The hardware provided was not created for the unit. When we called Customer Service, the agent stated that this had been a recurring issue as reported by other buyers. There is no option to have the correct hardware shipped so you either have to return a very bulky/heavy item and hope that the replacement doesn’t have the same issue (no guarantee stated the agent) OR go to a hardware store and gerryrig your own solution. We did the latter & it was fine. However, as nice looking as this crate is, it is obviously not durable and you can see how easily the corners will wear, particularly if your animal chews it at ALL. We were very disappointed overall.

Damaged

Save your money & precious time

I was excited to get this and put it together. It was smooth sailing until the last step. The "feet" hardware provided didn't fit the base (needed for stability/safety)

I was excited to get this and put it together. It was smooth sailing until the last step. The "feet" hardware provided didn't fit the base (needed for stability/safety). So I call to see if they can send me the right hardware, should be easy right! No. I have to disassemble the entire crate, repackage it, go find a printer to print a return label, lug it out a week later, wait for Chewy to receive my "Frisco by Chewy" package, then have them resend another identical giant item with hopefully the right hardware, or else I have to repeat this process all over again. This is the most time-intensive, environmentally-unfriendly, frustrating, and probably costly return policy for any item I have ever seen- especially given the "by Chewy" manufacturers stamp on the product. Please do better!
