Bulky but it works!

I have to keep my puppy's feet off the ground for a little while longer. Meanwhile, my senior girl still needs her walks! The backpack carrier has been the perfect

I have to keep my puppy's feet off the ground for a little while longer. Meanwhile, my senior girl still needs her walks! The backpack carrier has been the perfect solution. It's more portable than a stroller and provides more room than a sling. It also has a nice clip for your dog's collar so it's hard for them to jump out. There's mesh so your dog can still see and smell things, and if they're shy, it feels more secure than the sling does. The only downside to me is if you're short, you WILL bounce the pack around. Hope your pup doesn't get motion sick easily! Cinch the shoulder straps as tight as you can and do the buckle in front of your chest to reduce bouncing.

This is top notch quality and I highly recommend it. This backpack can be compared to ones I’ve seen that cost $150 but for a fraction of the price. And the most important part, my scaredy cat loves it. We are sloooooowly introducing it by throwing treats in it every day and have upgraded to picking up the back pack and moving it and few feet while he’s inside of it. Slow and steady wins the race!

Construction and versatility

It appears to be very well constructed with a waist belt as well as the shoulder clips. The backpack turns into a spacious cat carrier. I put the carrier down

It appears to be very well constructed with a waist belt as well as the shoulder clips. The backpack turns into a spacious cat carrier. I put the carrier down on the floor and in an hour Gumby was investigating and walking in and out.

Ease of carrying Sputnik

While I admit that I had to have my vet who was a boy scout fold it back to carry Sputnik back home. He fit comfortably on the carry folded part and used as a backpack

Easy to set up and I love the privacy flaps for when my cat gets a little overwhelmed when we’re out and needs a place to hide. Feels very sturdy. I love that it expands and has plenty of room for longer travel days. Also packs down very small and is easy to store flat which I really appreciate since my last carrier didn’t do that.

Uncomfortable when worn as a backpack, needs to be more rigid, and the storage pockets are TINY! Only just about fits the flexi lead I use with my cat, and nothing else. Lots of room in the bag, but no practical way to use it. Adding some big stretchy pockets on the insides of the sides of the bag would make it a lot more practical for outings to the park, where I need to bring water with me.

The carrier was overkill for our purposes. It is well-made with a sturdy bottom area where our dog could ride; it expands quite a bit to be an enclosed kennel for traveling which we do not need. Our dog is 15 pounds and this thing swallowed him up. I’m hoping to return it.
