Perfect for my 10 yr old chihuahua mix!

We’ve had these stairs for about 10 months, so I can give a thorough review of them. My dog is pretty small (chihuahua mix, a little smaller than a midsize cat) and she had been trouble jumping on the bed (she loves to be on there) due to her joints hurting. So I decided it was time to get her some stairs to help her out. At first I didn’t think she would use them, but she actually does! It didn’t take long for her to adjust to them. The only downside of it is that when she goes up the stairs, it sounds like her knees hit the steps since they’re a little steep for her (but she tries to run up them so that’s most likely why it happens). I love that when we need to put them away for a bit, we can easily put them away by pushing the little buttons on the sides. They’re a space saver and super easy to setup! My cats enjoy using them too, although they’re not the ones who need it. I HIGHLY recommend these stairs for your small pets and senior pets!

Steps for Betty

I already had steps in the bedroom for Betty but noticed she also likes to sleep on the chair in the family room - so got another set of steps. Work great. She's 16 years old and I don't want to put stress on her legs jumping down from the chair. Easy to get your pet to use- just put snacks on each step and have your pet go up, then the same going down. Do a couple of times and voila!

Functional as stairs but not great for elderly dogs with arthritis

I bought these stairs 2 years ago. I have a 16 (almost 17!) year old Chihuahua who I got this for so she could get in and out of the bed (her favorite place on earth). She was too old to jump anymore and started getting arthritic. Well the stairs served their purpose for the most part as she did use them to get in/out of bed for the past two years, but it did take a while for her to get comfortable with them because they're not normal sized stairs. They're very small/narrow of steps. As she's gotten older and her arthritis has gotten worse, she won't even use them anymore. She just barks to be let up and down. She can still handle regular stairs fine, but these are so narrow and she falls off them while attempting to climb them. It's really sad. I wouldn't have bought this in the first place if I knew I'd have to replace them anyway down the road with stairs that actually are sized appropriately. Basically, they work, but I wouldn't recommend them, especially if your purpose is for a small elderly dog like mine. (Also they do fold, but it doesn't help much in terms of taking up less space. I've traveled with them before and they take up a lot of room in the car. A collapsible ramp might be more convenient.)

Fantastic Small Dog Stairs

These stairs are perfect!! Needed stairs for the girls (dogs) to get in and out of our 1959 Willey Jeep. They are unable to jump up from the ground into the jeep. They both weigh 13 lbs and the stairs are wide enough, stable enough and strong enough for them to use without hesitation. Acclimation to the stairs not was a problem I just put treats on each step for 3 time and that was all it took. Now they run and get in with any treats. Stairs fold up easily and I store them right next to their cargo box they ride in. Very, very pleased with this purchase!!!

Ease of climbing

My Shih Tzu hasn't been able to jump up on my bed. I broke my hip back in April and had to raise my bed from a few inches off the floor to 30 inches. Now he can go back to his adorable morning habits. He learned quickly to use the stairs and as soon as he hears me stir in the morning, he comes up and snuggles with me covers my hand and arm with kisses and lays his head on my chest.

My aging pit/lab mix was starting to miss the bed when she would jump, so I got her this, after a few attempts to realize it's purpose, she was happy with it, which makes my heart happy, it is very sturdy and durable even for a mid-sized dog, I was worried that she would be too heavy for it, but even after several months of use, it's still good as new. I definitely recommend this product! It truly is a heart saver, I'm not sure I could continue to sleep in my bed if my pup couldn't.

Loving her cat stairs

My cat was jumping up to this window, hanging on to the ledge, and scrambling and scratching the rest of the way up. No more! She immediately got the hang of the stairs. Is this cat spoiled or WHAT? She was a traumatized shelter cat when I took her home - she deserves some pampering :)

My 6.5 pound Yorkie moved these

These are awful. My Yorkie used them and in the act of jumping off of the last stair he was able to send them 12 inches away from the couch. My Beagle tried them as fell off. She is 28 pounds. Got a refund. Get the Frisco brand.

Narrow Steps

My dog will not climb up as she is afraid, I have tried treats for incentive and still no more than 3 steps. She is 13 lbs and I will keep working with her. She goes up and down other stairs without any issues. One issue I am thinking is that are too narrow.
