Are these returnable if the cat refuses to use?

On the 4 step up ladder-how hard is it to assemble. I am a senior myself and wanting to get this for my 15.5 yr old cat, Casey Blue, but afraid I will not be able to put it together. Thank you

If assembling the steps up to 19 inches, these can be fully assembled in 3 easy steps. If assembling up to 24.5 inches, it can be put together in 4 steps. Please see below for reference.

I am looking for a way for our 11 lb Bichon to get up to, and then look out the side windows by our front door. Will there be enough room for him to settle in and bark at the mailman or watch the birds and squirrels?

These stairs will be able to hold your dog in weight, but the steps are 17 inches long by 7 inches wide. For the three step stairs, the top step would be 17 inches by 11 inches wide. Compare these measurements to your dog's measurements when settled to see if this would be the best fit.

What are the dimensions of the steps? Width & Depth ?

When fully assembled with 4 steps, the overall measurement is 17 x 23.5 x 24.75 inches (length x width x height). The individual steps measure approximately 17 inches across with a depth of 7 inches.

The Perfect Solution

Cora (Siamese Cat) has what I dubbed a “sidecar.” It’s a short cat castle with a cradle st the same height as the arm of my recliner. Outfitted with a pet safe heating pad, she spent many hours in her sidecar while I recovered from surgery, and we continue to sit side by side while I enjoy reading or needlework. Recently, Cora has startled to struggle leaping in to her sidecar. While it’s just a bit higher than the bed and chair seats, it’s had become a challenge. The steps we purchased were the perfect solution. Easy to assemble, they’re sturdy, and carpeted with fleece so she doesn’t slip or slide. Cora is used to steps, so it took her nothing flat to know how to use these. Bonus: When she takes over the recliner, I can sit on the top step and keep her company while I have a cup of tea.

Pros: The steps are heavy, very sturdy, and easy to assemble. Cons: the steps are a bit steep and shallow for my Jack Russell/Chihuahua. The carpeting on the steps

Pros: The steps are heavy, very sturdy, and easy to assemble. Cons: the steps are a bit steep and shallow for my Jack Russell/Chihuahua. The carpeting on the steps is thin and slippery enough that when she jumps up on it, her foot slides, which doesn't help with her confidence in using them. I am going to try to find some carpet scraps I can staple to them. I think these would be a great for a cat.

The stairs were too narrow for my 10lb 19 years old cat. He could climb but when he tried to step down, he fell. He has arthritis on his left front shoulder so it was too tough for him. Getting another one with wider steps. It is well made product and easy to assemble, but if your cat has arthritis on their front paws, probably not for them.
