How does the filter go in?

The tapered end should be inserted first with the white side of the filter facing towards the back of the fountain. However, on the Drinkwell Mini, the filter should be installed with the white side facing the front of the fountain.

Love the Drinkwell fountain!

I have had my fountain since the early 2000s, and it is hard to find the filters anymore. So I always get the multi-packs from Chewy. Simple to replace; however

I have had my fountain since the early 2000s, and it is hard to find the filters anymore. So I always get the multi-packs from Chewy. Simple to replace; however I clean my fountain every time I change the filters (run straight vinegar thru it for about 10 minutes before scrubbing it, and rinsing it out, so I’m not just slipping an old one out and replacing it with a new one).
