This crate can be attached to exercise pen using the 4 included snap hooks.

What keeps a large puppy from knocking this over if jumping up on it?

This pen comes in a variety of heights, perfect for pets of any size. A determined pet may still be able to get out. Metal anchors are included to keep the pen in place when used outdoors. Without the anchors, a dog may be able to push this pen over.

We just got an 8 week old golden retriever puppy and we needed a crate and we also wanted a playpen to give her some freedom without overwhelming her. This was a perfect combo. Great price for 2 items. The pen is plenty tall enough so she can't get out and the divider is great so the crate can grow with her. We also attached the pen right to the crate so she can go in and out of her crate as she pleases. I love how adjustable it is and how sturdy both items are. All in all a great purchase

Saving the crate for later as my puppy is still small enough for a travel crate but the pen is indispensable. Very easy to set up and can be used to block off a large area or circled to create the perfect play space for my 8 week old puppy. I use it with a waterproof pad and have only had one accident the first day. He now considers it his personal space. Very easy to keep an eye on him and still allow him independence and fun with his toys.

Only good for calm dogs

This appears to be an example of "You get what you pay for." I foster for a shelter. Two dogs have gotten out of this crate, while it was still locked. One of them

This appears to be an example of "You get what you pay for." I foster for a shelter. Two dogs have gotten out of this crate, while it was still locked. One of them was a massive German Shepherd. Both were able to bend the bottom enough to squeeze out of it. The second day, I reinforced it with zip ties and the Shepherd simply took the side off the crate and broke the hooks. He did not chew them apart, he was strong enough to just muscle through the door and break them. It works fine for kittens or dogs who are comfortable in a crate but it will not confine an animal that doesn't want to stay in it.
