Disappointed
I've had a retractable leash before that lasted for years. I finally decided to replace it. I've had it just a couple weeks: the lock button sticks and doesn't always work fast enough so I can't use it to walk her; her friend got the nylon tape and had it chewed almost the whole way though before we got it from him. It's now pretty much useless even in the backyard because that tape will break with a little pressure and she'll be gone in seconds.
Retractable tape dog leash
I bought this item to replace the one I had that was really for a very small dog. My dog Caty, who I adopted 1 1/2 years ago is 27 lb rat terrier-doxie mix, a medium sized dog. This retractable leash is a lot more sturdy and stronger for handling Caty's rambunctious activity outside when we go on walks and to potty. This leash is so easy to use, lock in place, etc. I love it! A very sturdy, strong product. The leash doesn't twist or tangle like the cord style does. It has an easy grip handle. Excellent product!
not a retractable fan BUT
Not a fan of retractable leashes, seen too many bad things happen with them. But I will say, this one has been great for the specific need I had for it. Using it simply for potty breaks in my own yard on a puppy and recall training. Will stop using soon though as he is getting older
snapped in half by a 10lb cavapoo
its latch is finicky and the leash only lasted five walks before the title of my review happened. it also should come with a poop bag holder loop.
Tangle free retractable all all I buy
This is the third fresco retractable leash I have bought at chewy because they are tangle free and long lasting. I only need new ones when I get more dogs.
Cheaply made
Cheap. Started jamming within two days. Older ones made much better. This is going in the trash.

Looks & Feels Sturdy, BUT Nothing Reflective!
I needed them to be reflective to use in the dark, yet nothing is as claimed! The advantages are that they seem sturdy, and do not feel cheap. Reflectivity being an important factor to my needs, not knowing the durability, and the misleading descriptions, I believe this model deserves only 2 stars. The whole unit blends well into the dark, especially the leash! Being unable to see and feel the item, I had to rely on the descriptions. The descriptions fooled me! Chewy should correct the deceptive descriptions of this company on this model!
** BE VERY CAUTIOUS **
States that this leash is good up to 100 lbs. . FIRST time my daughter used this leash on her 50lb golden retriever husky mix it tore. Standing outside talking w neighbors, Macey was running around playing. Within 10 minutes the leash retracted back in casing of course puppy took off running. We are very blessed my daughter was able to get puppy and get her in house safely! Not saying not to buy this leash! IM SAYING WE ALL LOVE OUR FURRY BABIES AND WANT TO KEEP THEM SAFE !!! Im saying please check the leash for defects before using! For this is the only reason i think the leash tore the way it did! GOOD LUCK
Started jamming after 6 weeks of daily use
I use this leash daily with my 50 lb puppy. Leash seems well made and worked great for the first month. But the retractable function has started jamming every day or two during our normal walks. These are tough jams too, I really have to wrestle with it for ~5 minutes to get it unstuck. I will not be using this leash much longer. It is just unsafe. Really disappointing. Hope mine was just a defect.
