Great bed
My older senior dog needed a better bed so I got this one and she loves it. I love how firm it is for her achy joints, love how the pieces come in a waterproof bag of their own, and love how it's washable. It was a little snug getting the cover on but overall easy to assemble.
I'd rate it higher, but I was disappointed to find an ikea like challenge when I opened the box.
incredibly difficult to put together without 2 ppl
Unless you have assistance from another person holding down the cushions while the other human zips up, this bed is insanely frustrating and difficult to put together. I wanted something washable so I can take apart/wash every week or two, but I’ll never be able to get this back together if I take it apart again to wash.
Dog wasn't a fan.
I purchased this for my 14 y/o chihuahua mix hoping to give him something more supportive and comfortable for his old joints. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to care for this bed and continued to use his old one. It's pretty firm and he seemed to prefer his old soft, cushy beds to this. It was also difficult to assemble and wash, especially because the bolster is separate from the inner cushion. You can see from the photo that the cover fits very tightly so you really have to jam it back inside the cover and pinch the zipper together to close it. I think it might be a reasonable choice for the right pet, because it is very supportive. It just wasn't to my dog's liking and is a little high-maintenance for washing.
