Worth it. Buy it.
Best bed ever, from puppyhood to senior citizen, for our 8 pounder, our 30 pounder, as well as our 90 pounder. They all love them and they are well used. We have 6 beds, in various sizes, in various rooms of the house. I don't think I'll ever buy a different type of bed for them. Foam is still in perfect shape after a year. Also, I just removed one of the covers to wash it and was thinking it was going to be a PITA. I figured it would shrink and then would be a total hassle/impossibility to reassemble. Welp, no shrinkage and total breeze to reassemble! If we could give them 6 stars, we would. Lastly, most of our dog beds are sitting against a wall and I like how the back bolster of the bed protects the wall from getting doggo dirty.
bed sizing
The bed itself has a lot of support, it’s nice and thick with a lot of cushion. My only complaint is that the measurements are not true to size. I wanted something the same exact size as my German Shepherds last 2 beds which were 40in by 30in. So that would mean the X-Large bed. The second I took it out I realized it looked much smaller. I decided to measure it and the measurements came out to 38in by 29in. I know it’s a only few inches off but it does a difference for a big breed especially when she had something bigger. A little disappointed and wish it was true to size because I do love that there is so much cushion for her to lay on, just hate how it’s smaller then her old bed and paid $200 for 2 beds that I’m not completely satisfied with.
Very comfortable
As as a senior dog, I really appreciate the soft, orthopedic foam that makes it easy for me to get up and down. It supports my weight (my vet says I'm a little fat but are you really going to deprive an old man of his bones from the bbq?) and the plush sides give me something to snuggle against. Highly recommend, especially for you bed hounds out there.
orthopedic pet bed- YES!!!!
I got this bed april 6, I have 3 dogs and several cats. All of them have used the bed. It needed a bath! I was hesitant at first but now- it will get frequent baths! Took it apart in under 5 min, put cover in wash as directed. Sprayed the foam pieces with vinegar (helps deodorize) set in sun and fresh air to freshen up. Added a bit of baking soda and put cover back on. Took under 5 min to put cover on- it was amazing and so easy to do. A friend recommended this bed to me, now I will share that recommendation! Works great for our furry family.
Such an Awesome Bed!!!
My 80lb pit mix ADORES this bed. She’s a hefty gal, and the XL is the perfect size for her frame. I have not seen any flattening of the foam insert, it is quite sturdy. The first night she slept in this bed, she was dreaming so loudly I actually had to wake her up. 10/10 would recommend.
Very poor quality, rips at seams
Just got it today, opened the box, took it out of the plastic and on first impression it looked really nice until I examined it carefully. Upon examination where the sewn bed seam meets the cover there was a tear about 3 inches wide. The cover material is very very thin on the bolsters and will tear as time goes on. The best part was the foam mattress which was nice and thick. Chewy gave me a refund and this is why I only buy my pet items from chewy for their outstanding customer service. The best dog bed is made by Orvis but they are expensive and worth it. I still have the same Orvis bed these last 5 years and it is still in great shape.
Great Bed especially for senior dog
This is our 3rd purchase of this bed. The initial two have been awesome and each one has held up wonderfully. Both my dogs love the border and all has remained firm which many other beds haven't. The only need for a 3rd bed was due to our senior dog slowly losing control of her bladder and the damage that comes with that to one of our beds. I will say, in comparison of other beds I have looked at, this bed was easy to take and insert dog pee pads inside so it doesn't get into the pad. Overall I would recommend this bed to everyone and it does hold up to a German shepherd and even our smaller dog.
My dogs love this bed!
I have an 8yr old chihuahua/terrier. He loves this bed. We had to get him two as his new little/big sister who is a Great Dane/Pit was always sleeping on his bed. She is now 55 lbs and has her own XL bed. This is great sturdy bed for both small and large dogs. We will probably buy another one soon.
Most Comfy Bed Ever!
This is Tux, a 75 lb Saluki Mix. Tux hates new things, but immediately fell in love with this bed. It holds his weight and the cushioning feels sturdy, which is what I wanted in an orthopedic bed. He can still stretch out, and provides enough room for this tall boy. I may just have to buy another, it looks high quality, the material is nice. The sides are a big plus with my dogs, they love the cuddler types of beds.
Good dog bed. But price increase!!!
I bought this bed in august 2021 and it is a good dog bed overall. I paid $66.45 for the large. I went to order the same size now for my other dog and the price is now $86… $20 price increase. Crazy!!
