Most Popular Bed in the House
I have 4 other beds in the house, which are each a different style, but this one has by far become the favorite (2 dogs and 5 cats). I actually ended up ordering a 2nd one due to its popularity. One of the dogs that uses it is elderly and has arthritis. She chooses this bed over the others the majority of the time. I had to wash the cover once already, thanks to one of my cats deciding to pee on it. It came out fluffy and clean after adding vinegar to the wash. I soaked up as much as I could on the foam piece, and then generously sprayed it with Nature’s Miracle and allowed it to air dry. I put some pee pads on top of the foam when I reassembled the bed after washing, just in case. I would recommend doing that with any pet bed that doesn’t have a waterproof cover, like I should have done in the first place. I can’t speak to the durability of the bed, but hopefully it will last a long time.
I bought this bed 11 months ago I have a 3 year old 75 lb German shepherd I got the xx large and it still looks new and has held up very good last night there were 2 German shepherds at same time laying on it one dog 75 lb and the other 60 lb .I would buy again but it will be awhile before we need a new one ,I haven't had to wash the cover because I do keep a dog throw on it .
This is one of the smallest extra large dog beds..it measures 28x37 for the bed but the pillow top material measures 31x40 so if u stretch the material on top it would be correct. What a joke..my dog is half off the bed part. What a joke and a waste of money. It's not orthopedic either
So far, so good
The pup immediately made himself comfortable on this bed when it arrived a week or so ago. It generates a bit of static on him when he gets up but we are in a semi-arid region and he is really furry. I'm hoping the static will decrease as the bed top becomes more compressed.
Really happy with these beds
I have 2, 50x36 raised Kuranda beds in our bedroom for my 2 dogs, both are 75lbs. They sleep all stretched out on their backs, so need to nestle down in bed to keep from rolling over so, I have always had feather beds on top of the raised beds for them. It was time to replace the feather beds and I saw these Jumbo size beds and looked like it would work great. Hard to tell in pictures but I was hoping cover wouldn't be tight and have some extra room in it. I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. I could put a 5" memory foam mattress inside each bed on top of egg crate and cover still would zip. My dogs have support and still have soft top. I also put a twin bed 500 thread count sheet over each bed that matches my bed comforter and tuck it around beds. So I just remove sheet to wash and bed stays nice and clean. My dogs sleep comfortably throughout the night and I am so happy these beds worked out so good.
Great for big cats =^..^=
I have two big cats; they weight 18 pounds each and i was looking for a bed big enough to have them very comfortable. The size Large is great for a big cat that loves to stretch the body... the Extra Large is great for two big cats sleeping together. The pillowtop is great to have their heads being rested, just like a pillow, and the height is just perfect because its soft, and because it is all over the bed, they can move to any position. The other thing that we loved is the height... so it doesn't get in direct contact with the floor.
Senior dog seems to like it.
Our senior dachshund has some joint & mobility issues. His old bed was the raised cooling style that has green mesh hanging from a frame (we put a small pad on top for him), and he just got to the point where he couldn't climb into it any more on his own. I started shopping for a new orthopedic style hoping it would make him a bit more comfortable. But dachshunds are tricky...what you think is a good size for a small dog usually turns out to fit 3/4 of their body because they're so long. With that in mind, I sized up from the suggestions normally given for his breed and purchased this bed in a large. It works well. Enough room to lay down without getting scrunched up on the length. And he could probably lay along the short side and *just* fit without hanging off. I think this would be a great size for for something like a bull dog or cocker spaniel, but would be too small for a golden retriever or a lab. We've only had it a couple days, so can't speak to how it will hold up over time, but the cushion seems to be very supportive. I've noticed our dog doesn't fidget around as much as he did on the old bed, and one would assume it's because he's not feeling as much pressure on his joints, and therefore doesn't need to constantly readjust. The bed is still a little tall for him, but it squishes down under his paws enough that he can climb in and get comfortable. Once he's happy with his position, the cushion cradles his body right in and he takes a good long nap. My only complaint is that this bed is pricey. It's the most I've ever spent on a bed for him. However, it's in line with others of similar size, which is why I ultimately decided to go for it. If your dog is one to chew the cover, or pull filling out of their bed you may want to go with something less expensive. I also chose this based on another review that said the base and cushion were two separate pieces (in case it was too tall, I could separate them and just use the pillow top) BUT that review was wrong. The pillow and the base are all stitched into one piece. Overall, I still think it's a good buy. It's nice quality and the fabric (which isn't a complete eyesore) goes well with our other furniture.
Big enough for my dog!
I struggled to find a bed big enough for my dog (German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix approx. 100lbs) and most of them were extremely expensive. This bed is beg enough that he fits and can comfortably lie on it, and both of my dogs seems to like it.
My dog is a 50/55 pound Bull Terrier mix. I bought the XL size for both beds. He likes to sleep tight as a ball or sometimes sprawled out so this bed works for both ways. He’s now 6 years old and also a tri-pawed so he needs some extra cushion. He LOVES this bed. I just now, finally, got a new one as you can see he certainly wore out the old one. The blue herringbone is pretty, but the soft material on top can’t be washed so you can see it’s very dirty. The second one is the gray color. The old one seems larger in the picture only because it’s been worn in. I’m sure he’ll love the new one just as much
First, I ought to have my head checked for buying a dog bed with a white fabric topper. However, this seemed to be the biggest bed offered on Chewy. Anyway, the dogs dirtied the beds almost immediately so I have to cover with beach towels. The fabric looks and feels cheap and thin. Disappointing.
