All 3 of our cats LOVE this "kitty cave" & the top perch too! It's pretty high up atop a bookcase in our home so they enjoy the treetop vibe while looking out the window. It is very sturdy and high quality. I read past reviews and was pleased that ours came with colorful detailed instructions and plenty of extra hardware for the fastening of the round "perching/nesting pads" to the bottom & top of the wicker furniture. The furniture you see here does NOT come in 2 pieces. It's a 1 piece design that you must drill the circular (thick flannel covered particle board) bottom/top pieces to. It's not rocket science. Then, there are 2 soft, fluffy, white, pillowy toppers you cover those particle board pads with. It's stylish and an attractive way to meet your cats needs without your home looking like a pet store. Will definitely buy another one at some point for another part of my home!
I wasn't happy that there was assembly required for this piece, as it wouldn't have taken up any more space in the box if it had been assembled already. It was just a bit of a hassle when my cats were just ready to get in it lol. But there wasn't much to it, you will need a drill. My babies love this bed! It's adorable! It was a bit overpriced, but I snagged it on sale, which was awesome because I had my eye on this for a while.
Cats haven't warmed up to it yet but hope they will soon. It's a replacement for one that was damaged in the Marshall Fire and I'm glad I found an almost exact replacement. The pads are more like long shag rug material than the previous pillows but the cats won't care. Shipping was fast, within 4 days or so of placing the order.
This is really pretty but I think it’s a bit overpriced. The only problem I’ve had is on my hardwood floor it’s wobbly. I added extra rubber pieces on the bottom attempting to stabilize it. It still wobbles so my cat and dog won’t get on it. I’m thinking of taking them all off and removing the screws from the bottom. Maybe then they use it.
My two cats both like this little condo. They both enjoy sleeping in it. It’s also appealing to the eye! I thought they would enjoy sitting on the top perch, but so far they are just sleeping inside it.
I love the grey wicker of this bed. It really goes well with our furniture too. Pumpkin Spice really loves to get in it & he feels safe & comfortable.
Sturdy and stylish. Great improvement over my last cat condo. As reviewers note, there is some assembly required to attach the two cushion platforms. That said, installation requires one person and a screwdriver (no drill). Working on one of them at a time, position a wood platform in the condo and with a pen/marker, place a dot where each of the three screws needs to go. Remove the platform and put it on a table. At each dot, screw in a screw and then remove them. Put the platform back in place in the condo. Supporting the platform with one hand from the opposite side, with the fingers of your free hand, twist the screws back in place (just a turn or two). Then use a screwdriver to finish tightening. It takes just a moment. And NO DRILL REQUIRED. FYI extra screws and bumpers were provided in my shipment, so if you have more than you think you need, it's because you do. Good luck!
My cats like it and use it but if you have cats over 12 pounds they probably won't fit comfortably. I also feel it's over priced.
The cat started trying to get in this as soon as I got it out of the box. It is a pain to assemble, but once I got it done, they loved it.
My cat loved it right way. I did not even bother screwing anything into the hard basket since she barely lays not top. it's still pretty sturdy with out using any of the screws they give you.
