Not elevated
This is not what I would call an elevated bowl. The stand is quite low, and the bowl sits inside with the base nearly on the floor. I have an older, arthritic dog who does not like to bend or squat to eat. This will not help at all. Additionally, the bowl is quite deep, so it could be difficult to reach food/water at the bottom. Just not a great design.
Cats Love It
We got our two shelter cats a year ago. Neither of them would drink from the water fountain that our previous three cats loved. After recently replacing the fountain with this bowl they both almost immediately started drinking from it. I love fountains but it’s better that the cats drink water from something that they like. This bowl is also much easier to clean than the fountain.

Great Service
This was outstanding!! I received my order from Chewy just as they said it would be delivered. This new bowl is being used for my cats water. As I've gotten older, I need something a bit more lightweight to be able to pick up and fill and this is the ticket. Really works well and the kitties took to it immediately.
Cat Loves It!
For some reason, my cat Elwood loves drinking water out of this bowl. He's never been very enthusiastic about drinking water, no matter what bowl I've used in the past. He's almost 14 years old, and I've tried a lot of different bowls over the years. There's nothing physically going on with him that would cause him to increase his water consumption. I like that it's easy to remove the bowl from the stand for cleaning purposes. The weight of the stand keeps it in place, so there's very little spilling if he decides to dip a paw in, which he does every now and then. I thought the price was very reasonable, too, and I made sure to add it to a food order, so there was no shipping fee to increase its price.

Good product
We purchased these to help our dogs from having to chase their bowls all over the house. I really like the design, they stay put and no more chasing. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because the rubber ring below the rim of the bowl is not glued to the bowl so they come off, but nothing that a little super glue won't fix.

this makes a great dish for outdoor or indoor use. like the elevated base because it makes it easier to pick up and also pet use for either food or water
Good option for messy water drinkers
We have multiple cats so multiple water bowls. We had a dish with 2 water bowls that was more enclosed. One of our cats likes to push the water to the top edge of the bowl while drinking. Over time, this eroded the metal in the old stand. Found this one and it is saving us time cleaning up the water and also helps with any spill over onto the mat not just being standing water. We opted for the 4 cup option and liked it so much we got a 2nd. Cats like them just the same but now we have a cleaner water area. Win-win!

I absolutely love these elevated bowls! I bought 5 of them for our cats and they are perfect. You really can't tell from the pic but they are very sturdy and the rubberized ring around the bowl helps it stay in place.
