I purchased two of these beds for my dogs and was initially impressed by them. I liked that it was easy to remove the covers for washing, and my dogs seemed to like them. About half a year later, the bottom padding is almost completely flat and now sleeping on the bed is marginally better than sleeping on the floor :( Very disappointing. I think I'll be giving these away. I do not recommend them long term.
I got this for my dog because she likes to lay on anything soft. She didn't like it at first (hence the first pic), but after we put her smelly dog blanket on the bed, she loved it! She likes to hide her toys under the blanket on the bed when she lays on it. I love the fact that I can take the cover off and wash it. My only issue with this bed is that it is uneven. When laid flat on the ground, it's like the cushion on the inside wasn't symmetrical, so one side stands up a little higher than the other side. Still super comfy though, even for me, and my Luna loves it!
My dog loves this bed and so do I. The bed sits in front of my fire place insert and the tv, sometimes its nice to curl up in it with a little pillow and blanket, my dog looks confused when I do this but then we just lay in it together, so COZY!
The XXL was the perfect size for our 7 month old male German Shepard- Boxer mix puppy. Great quality, very plush, especially the edging. As soon as we put it on the floor & told him it was his, he immediately curled up in it & has been chewing his toy ever since. We tried covering it with a dog blanket to help keep it clean, but our 60x50" blanket is too small. Oh well, as long as our puppy is happy.
Our dog loves her new bed! She is 77 pounds and this is the right size and shape so she has enough room but also feels safe and enclosed. She appreciates the head rest built in and also likes to burrow under the rim.
I have only ever purchased orthopeodic beds with bolsters on the three sides before, but our boxer mix would always dig incessantly (and slowly ruin them over time) before settling in it to sleep. Also, she is a "ball" sleeper where she curles into a little ball on whatever bed she has. After reading more about the different types of dogbeds, I learned nesting/digging/ball sleepers do well in this type of bed. She LOVES IT!! Hasn't tried to dig onece and voluntarily goes to this bed all the time on her own now. She is so happy and this is the only type of bed we will buy for her going forward. Our shepherd likes to lay stretched out so we will continue with the ortho bolter type bed for her. Thank you Chewy!!
I shopped all the major pet supply companies + general big box stores. This was by far the best price for size and features (removable, washable cover). Our dog is a fan. Some people have mentioned that the inner filling compresses easily. We haven't experienced that, but what our dog loves is the coziness of the bolster and having a place to lean his head. He's never seemed to care about whether he's on a rug on the hard floor or on a cushion. Might be different if he had joint problems.
This looked cozy enough that I could use it to entice my 16 month old husky to stop sleeping on (and smooshing) the couch back pillows, my pillows on the bed, and the window seat pillows. The moment I put it on the ground, my 12 year old claimed it. She is 70lbs and is a little too big for it, but she is clearly in love. Time to order a second one for the original intended recipient. LOL
Bought it for my brother's German Shepherd. He loves his bed. Keeps him warm and cozy during the winter. It's a good size for him, he is a 90+ pound dog.
Lucy, my golden retriever has nothing to do with bed. I don't know if it is too soft for her or she just doesn't like the feel of it. I guess I am stuck with a $60 dog bed that will never be used.
